i actually dont think so. he's said he'll support the dem nominee and as bad as he is i dont think its expedient for him to lie about that.

He can't even beat most of the candidates. His money really is just better spent supporting the Democratic nominee if his only goal is to make sure Trump loses.
That'd be so terribly ironic after all the moderate Dems screamed and cried that Bernie was going to hand the election to Trump in 2016 by not conceding early enough. If Bloomberg went forward as a 3rd party candidate he'd be handing Trump a victory on a silver platter.
If Bloomberg really hates Trump with all his heart (one only has to recall his speech at the DNC in 2016 to realize he does) then he will not run third party.

It was him. His campaign said the organizational structure will persist through November to support the nominee even if it isn't him.
He wasn't a politician before then. Do you really think he's lying when he says Trump is a terrible president and wants him to lose?
If the numbers make sense for him he definitely could. It wouldn't cost him that much to simply run a guaranteed to fail campaign and siphon votes away from Bernie.
