I wonder if they'll redub Broly for the home release? Probably not, although it wouldn't be hard, it's just screaming.
Shame he got away with it for so long considering the career he's had and the immeasurable number of people he's hurt, but I'm glad he's finally seeing some kind of repercussions for his actions at last. Super huge thanks must be given to MarzGurl and all of the women who spoke out to tell their stories to try and put an end to this creep.

As an actor, trust me. Screaming is not that easy. I don't envy whoever they recast that character with.
Guess I'm not buying DBS Broly then. Shame, the movie looked pretty good too.
Just get Sabat to do him, that way we might get a scene in Dragon Ball Super 2 where he plays three characters at once.
I mean, I doubt he's getting royalties so I don't see what the harm is

Can the DVDs/BluRays be purchased without the English track?
I can't imagine anyone else doing Edward Elric justice. Justin Cook has the attitude but comes off a bit strong.
Just listen to it in Japanese or, better yet, the GOAT Latin spanish dub. He's not getting royalties. If they redub him in DBS why not redub Fullmetal alchemist as well right? That's just not how any of this works.

Vic wouldn't get royalties for the home video release. Usually, VAs are already paid once they complete their voicework.
Yes. Import the Blu-ray from Mexico. It'll have the Latin Spanish and JP tracks only but I'm not sure it would have English subs but I guess we'll know soon enough. Sometimes they do so I'm not sure.
Like I said, he's not getting royalties from your purchase. He already got paid for his job and that's it.

In addition, royalties are primarily around actual screen appearances, and are negotiated by SAG, which has no bearing on most anime voice acting (currently).
There will probably be more appearances of Broly in Super moving forward. Those scenes will have a new actor. They're not gonna go back and re-record multiple shows worth of dialogue to erase him, though.
Spoilers: funi isn't spending money to redub a 10 year old show that wouldn't result in a significant uptick in sales.

Nope. Royalties are a SAG thing, and SAG generally doesn't care about anime.
I was being sarcastic. What's done it's done. No one will pay money to redub work that's already done after-the-fact. Especially if said work is years and years old and wouldn't translate into more sales to make up for the additional investment. That's just not how this works.
Guys they won't redub the movie. They'll recast him for when Super inevitably adapts the movie to TV though.
