dude, I checked out of the online discussion around GOT years ago. the D&D hate was driving me insane.
the old days of our relatively small OT on GAF (plus the community on WiC) were the best, but they are long gone now.
The books are never going to be finished so there's no way they're remaking the show again.
They're better off making more spin-offs to expand the universe, a lot of it canon to the show. GOT Season 8 has felt small.

Peter Dinklage would likely turn down any future contracts for this show. All of the actors seem like they're ready to move on.
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I don't really have a problem with the petition existing or people signing it. Something like this can come off as petty and entitled. But the petition isn't a contract, it isn't going to force anyone to do anything no matter how many signatures it gets. It's meant as a proof of how many people want this and are disappointed. It's for the artists to decide how to react to that.
The level of effort it takes to sign this petition is very little, so mistakingly thinking that there's a huge level of outrage from some of the signers is not entirely accurate. Some people might see this, think "yeah it sucks, I'd like to see it better" sign it, and move on.

This might be the first online petition like this that I agree with. It's unbelievable just how badly they dropped the ball in the final season. First time I've seen people react to character deaths with "Wait, really?"
So, honest question in response to your honesty: why do you think you have any right at all to ask these creators to "redo" their art?
Jeez, even though this petition is probably not going to accomplish it's goal of a reshoot, at least it allows for another way for dissatisfied fans to voice their concerns.

I have to assume that the majority of people signing on to something like this are just in it for a lark, not because they sincerely agree.

This is literally the only GOT thread from the past several weeks that I haven't immediately hit the ignore thread button on because the vitriol and outrage (while...mostly deserved) has just ramped up to absurd proportions that any sort of conversation is impossible, and the only reason why I didn't ignore this thread was because I wanted to make yet another joke at GRRM's expense
