Who is that kid? I'll beat him up in virtual reality and take his lunch credits.Man, thinking about it, this show will come to partly define the pop culture of the 2010's. 2011-19 is a hell of a run. It will be talked-about for decades, whether prequel spinoff stuff enhances or diminishes the franchise in the eyes of the fans.
I'm going to be 60 years old in 2047 and some kid is going to catch a rerun somewhere in his aug piece and be like, "heh, wow, this show is dated as hell but I can see why it worked for you."

After a decent amount of searching, I found a GoT thread! The long wait is here, and it's a bit chilly. We got any heated blankets around here?
Ya I imagine none of those three will survive.I don't know what will happen to this franchise in the future, but man, it would be awesome if in like 25 years from now a new series started and Kit, Emilia, Isaac, and some of the other actors reprized their roles. Just like Mark Hamil, ford, fisher, etc, in Star wars.
Welcome! I got something to warm you up:
I'll avatar bet you they will!
I dont see either of them dying. Especially with Beric and Melisendre still alive to bring them back. I think D&D would be eaten alive by the casual fans if they end up killing them off at the end. I think they are both just over this show and want to go out in the safest way possible. Plus it makes little sense to kill them off.I feel Dany or Jon has to die by the end, that's almost a given, so I'd actually be more surprised if none of them die. Also, if one has to die, let it be Jon but with Dany preggos. The Targaryens must rise again.

( Ignore this reply!! You nevah sah nuthin!)
There's no way Melisandre revives anyone, they killed off Thoros so his hacks couldn't be used again.
This is why book stuff is not talked about in the show thread.
Sorry. I failed already. But to be fair, they do talk about how Beric came back to life the first time and he keeps saying he came back for a reason. This is why book stuff is not talked about in the show thread.
Second, this season ended up being terrible. Jeremy Pondeswa is a terrible director and I'm so glad Sapochnik is back for season 8.
The Viserion episode broke my brain with how many terrible things happened in it, and Littlefinger's death was probably the show's writing nadir.
Jon and Dany are so dead. There's a reason Tyrion brought up what happens if she dies and can't give heirs. I'm not sure of Bran, but I can't think of a reason he survives since he's ultra-conveniently powerful.
He is but he's just a member now.Anyone know if Cornballer is here yet? He did such a great job with TV threads over there.
Season 1 is still the best season. We're continuing our rewatch of one GoT episode per week. We usually watch on Sundays but we watched this week's episode Thursday so we could do Stranger Things S2 on Sunday. Still fucking love this first season. It's still good even after the 5 or 6 times I've watched it. Next episode Ned loses his head. That should be fun to relive yet again.
I don't really wasn't to start this discussion again, but Season 7 was their worst and this show is only good for the spectacle now since Cersei litterally blew up the polical part.

Yea!! I'm so happy to see everyone back in one spot!
It will be tough. I will do my best to keep discussions going. Also you can always rewatch the series like I'm doing. One episode per week. I'm following the reddit schedule. It's making the wait MUCH easier. Now then:
Day 62 without GoT:
Brand new Special message from the Mother of Dragons herself !

Gonna miss Emilia Clarke as Daenerys :( Also this confirms she's gonna use a wig this season and not go with her natural hair, like some speculated when she dyed it.

The main thing that makes me angry is the things that don't make any goddamned sense aren't even that hard to fix. .
Dany needs to add Salt Wife to her titles.
No, there is not.
That was so touching.
