The first gif here is ugly as hell and makes me sick looking at it. Absolutely disgusting.REmake. The game will literally never not be gorgeous.

Dead or Alive 2 was one of the first 3D games I witnessed back in 2002 or so when I was like 5 after only really being exposed to Super Nintendo. Shit blew my balls off back then and still looks great today.

Resident Evil REmake on Gamecube still looks fantastic to this day due to it's blending of pre-rendered backgrounds and great character models/lighting.
Amazing how TLG feels like something from the past and the future at the same time. I do think it will stand the test of time.
God, I love how they've faked the rim lighting. Probably the single coolest retro graphics effect. Every model that gets this treatment immediately looks a million times better, no matter how few polys it's composed of. Just... *swoon*
X360/PS3 game, still looks good 7 years later.
didn't OP explicitly say "that aren't cartoony or cell shaded"?
the pic doesn't help your point, the gif does.
YEP. Still my favorite character models ever. It was SORCERY when I first saw a friend playing it on break.

I remember that one mission where you're bombing stuff in a Y-Wing in Rebel Strike still has some of the best water I've ever seen in a video game.Rogue Squadron II - Rogue Leader (2001)
