The aesthetics of Paladin's Quest were always creepy as fuck.
I feel like the general graphic style was inspired by French animation Fantastic Planet, with its alien, really bizarre environment. I find it charming, though.

The Sims 2 on GBA was creepy as shit.

Basically, you were the main character in show set in Strangetown and each "mission" was an episode.
And some of them were rather creepy.
Like, I remember one episode was about a mole-man killing people or something. Or another one where basically everyone disappeared and you were all alone. Never finished the game because some of the objectives were so obtuse, I couldn't figure out what to do next, so I was left wandering aimlessly, that was creepy too.
It might sound "intentionally creepy" and I believe it was but what makes it so work so well is that fact that most mission were funny, positive and light-hearted.
Then once in a while, the game hit you with some really creepy shit.

And also, this creepy music was playing all the time :
