If you're unsure then play the damn demo... No one is forcing you to buy the game even if both were releasing on the same day.
Apparently it's not the case? But also I don't see what the problem is. This is only an issue if you're the kind of person who has to be a part of the day-one zeitgeist but you don't know if you're going to buy it or not. And that's a you problem, not a Square Enix problem.
Fwiw that on its own isn't really an indication of that it'll be released when the game is out. That "buy now" option could also be for a pre-order.
Pre-ordering is generally part of a campaign though. Usually explicit. Like they can't help themselves and will just say "pre-order now"
good thing ive read 0 things about the demo or information contained. people need to learn to shut off their curiosity, especially when they are 100% going to get the game anyway.
Easier to just have a button that says "buy now" though, means that button doesn't need to be changed once the game is out.
But whatever, the Gamespot article turned out to be wrong anyway.
It's been retracted, I still get the feeling it'll be out before the launch. For this specific game, doesn't make much sense to have it come out same day. People, generally speaking, know how they feel about FF7.
the demo says "Purchase" not buy now, they wouldn't put "pre-purchase" when they plan to always have the demo available on the PS Store even after the game is out. the links in the demo would just take you to the game page on the store which updates itself once the game is actually out.
Wouldn't a thread lock be more appropriate? Unless I'm missing something it seems like the entire basis of the thread has been thrown out.
