90+!!!! All else is trash.
It's already ahead of where I thought it was going to be! I thought it would land low 80's, 81 or so. I am ready for for coop campaign and extermination. Let's gooooo
Well first of all I do believe there is a strong correlation between high scores and game quality. Second the higher the score the more likely people on the fence give it a try. I want it to be huge game supported for years. I am absolutely gonna buy day one unless it scores really poorly compared to previous games. That's highly unlikely.
Too many reviews in at this point to hit 90. 88 at best, 84 at worst. Awesome scores.
Sounded like a hostage video towards the end. New Jeff was going to focus on the traversal in act 2 after his only tweet about the game was entirely about it.

Yes and Yes. You change your location either on the xbox or on your windows system in the settings. You can just change it back the next day.

I guess it could be. If Gears 5 wins GOTY at TGA 2019, I will change my profile pic to...something Gears related. I just really don't see it happening.

TGA is just one award. There are basically 300 more awards available.
Well it's very unlikely, those 62 reviews would need to avg 92% for it to get to 90
It seems some are doing the responsible thing and waiting to do multiplayer first before giving the game a score because some journalists are lazy to play it.
The question with this game isn't one of 'is this score high enough to justify a $60 purchase', but instead how many new gamepass subscriptions will this drive.

I made it clear that for MP focused games reviewers don't match my experience. For campaigns I've found that they generally do match with my level of enjoyment. Is that too difficult to understand?
Can't really review MP prelaunch. That's why you see reviews in progress and without scores. Those with scores, I got no explanation for them.
The characterization is good.
If you've played the prior Gears games, esp the original trilogy, you're guessing most of the story.

Your tracks in the snow/sand appear to be dynamic. The weather is fixed as far as I can tell.
Took me about 12.5 hours to complete campaign.
As for the ending...
The ending of most act 2's out of 3 will generally feel this way, I'm not worried. I wasn't expecting everything to be sorted/answered.
You don't need to sort everything, but Act IV is the shortest act in the game, it has a reused boss, and no indication it is the final battle until it is over and the game ends.
Agreed. Either they don't give us a final score until they've fully played all of the game citing it's "In Progress" or they wait to review the game until they've done it all. It's simple.
