No NFTs at The Game Awards
So many shooters and multiplayer games trying to cash in on Fortnite's popularity, I'm sure.

Given that Street Fighter VI could be coming in Early 2023, I wonder if we'll see the initial reveal here. It'd give time for Capcom to hype the game up throughout 2022 (character reveals, betas, etc.), & Capcom Cup isn't as big as it used to be right now. It ultimately comes down to how long of a hype cycle Capcom wants. If they want it to be shorter, the SFVI reveal will be saved for E3. Otherwise, I feel like a TGA reveal for SFVI would make a big splash & help complete Capcom's redemption arc.
Don't care what others say - I love The Game Awards. It's just a fun time to kick back, think about games that we played over the last year, and dive into some new trailers as well.
I was really hoping to make hundreds of thousands of dollars on a rare Schick Hydrobot. :(

Geoff's entire job, other than producing the show, is to get you to watch it. Every year he hypes it up like crazy and every year there's maybe a handful of interesting things, one big reveal, and a ton of junk.
Yeah like you said both this and Capcom Cup are good places to announce SF6, but this would give it a bigger splash than Capcom Cup. Also I still think we'll get SF6 Q4 2022, BELIEVE.
Every year I tell myself I'm going to skip it, it's not worth it ,etc. and every year I watch it. Ughhhhhhhh
Depending on timings I might be able to tune into this and have it on in the background. It'll be fun to see what's nominated and wins this year, plus the game reveals. I'm honestly not holding out hope for anything that'll hype me but I'm happy to be proven wrong.

Orchestra's are always a nice part of TGA, I watched it with some non-gaming family members and they enjoyed it too.

That Capcom leak listing was before any COVID delays were factored in (as shown by RE8's April 2021 listing). And using KoFXV as a point of reference, SFVI is probably not making Q4 2022.
