The reviews are abysmal. One of the "positive" reviews on RT opens with "Polar is pure trash".
Yeah I just look at the meta score and some content advisories. It's sounds like gore porn.
To his credit, Alex posted on Twitter that Vinny guided him through some gameplay stuff in episode 2 so hopefully he figures his way around these simplified controls. The game really doesn't ask that much of you, especially with such a hang-back class. He'll get there. But it sure did seem pretty sloppy this time around.
Yeah, and, y'know, even if you watched them without playing past games you'd get nothing out of them, and all the bombast is found in gameplay stuff that just flashes and flies all over...so you may actually have a really good time with it if the combat holds up for you.

Wow. That winter scene is incredible. I love the way they made the trees sway. The heavy metal Santa is cool, too, I guess.

On the topic, the Netflix Fyre doc (Hulu released one nearly simultaneously) is wild. It's just a juicy story of excess, ego, sociopathy and something falling apart to a degree that would be scarcely believable if it was a script. Great watch.
Between both of those tweets, yeah, Dreams seems pretty good.
