He's the PR and Marketing Director, so it doesn't blow my mind that he could make a decision without running it past anyone. Someone in that role is the person who should be giving permission, not asking it. Which makes it doubly hilarious how dumb he was about it. I don't generally like to call for people to be fired, but such a massive public fuck up like this really should cost anyone in PR their job.

Honest question, why do people care so much about the THQ stuff. It doesn't effect your life or games or anything whatsoever. Yes I get that the website is disgusting, but just like me, it sounds like most people didn't even know it existed until this afternoon and everyone is just outraged because everyone else is outraged. Can we all take a step back and just say "look it's dumb that they thought it was a good idea to promote their company by going on a website that is bad" and just leave it at that? Why does everything have to be taken to the nth degree? People calling for firings and boycotting games and devs because of some bad PR decision seems so pointless.
8chan is basically populated by people that left 4chan because they either wanted to post more gamergate-y stuff or more child porn. Or both.

Honest answer - if you do even the slightest bit of research on 8chan, you immediately find out it's 4chan + child porn. The fact there was no due diligence, as well as the fact they are promoting a child porn website, means that they don't deserve any room for error. The link is still up. They liked posts defending this.
This is a major company giving a platform to the users of a site promoting racism, sexism, and child pornography. Those aren't just "bad things" but things that are actively harmful and dangerous to other humans, and by promoting that community, you're risking adding more people to their ranks.
Yeah guys, it's just a little white supremacy and child porn. What's so bad about it? Who hasn't given passive approval to disgusting behavior? You can't do something brash like not throw money at assholes indiscriminately.
