Yeah I can relate...why you playing anthem brad.....
it shut off his ps4 2 times haha
If you are funneling PR decisions like that through a single employee with zero oversight -- and that's assuming that statement is entirely true, which is dubious -- that shit is completely on you.
I'm afraid to put this into Google translate at workPhil is what we Austrians call a "grindiges oaschloch" or a so called "deppate Oaschkretzn"
That guy probably had a really well paying job and all he had to do was to come up with puns like Remarstered and Deathinitive and not post on a forum banned for child pornography

The fact that his name was publicly put on blast by the company puts the dude's career in jeopardy, too. One Google search by an employer during the application process and he's fucked. At least he can take comfort knowing he'll be venerated by pedophiles and racists for years to come. He's the PR and Marketing Director, so it doesn't blow my mind that he could make a decision without running it past anyone. Someone in that role is the person who should be giving permission, not asking it. Which makes it doubly hilarious how dumb he was about it. I don't generally like to call for people to be fired, but such a massive public fuck up like this really should cost anyone in PR their job.
it's 2X worse.Had no idea 8chan existed. 4chan is vile enough, can't even imagine what it would be like over there.
In any case, THQ has been shady for a while so i'm not really surprised someone there thought it would be cool to appeal to this kind of people.
Man, EA must be thanking their lucky stars now that THQ took all the attention away from Anthem.
8chan is basically populated by people that left 4chan because they either wanted to post more gamergate-y stuff or more child porn. Or both.Had no idea 8chan existed. 4chan is vile enough, can't even imagine what it would be like over there.

the thing is you cant find the site through google. it's so bad it was de-listed from google (and a lot of ISP's). best you got is a wikipedia article.Yeah, I read some stuff on the other thread but i am not going anywhere near a google search for that place. That description is clear enough for me.
wow guys... this post really made me think.... how bout uHonest question, why do people care so much about the THQ stuff. It doesn't effect your life or games or anything whatsoever. Yes I get that the website is disgusting, but just like me, it sounds like most people didn't even know it existed until this afternoon and everyone is just outraged because everyone else is outraged. Can we all take a step back and just say "look it's dumb that they thought it was a good idea to promote their company by going on a website that is bad" and just leave it at that? Why does everything have to be taken to the nth degree? People calling for firings and boycotting games and devs because of some bad PR decision seems so pointless.
It's probably because child pornography isn't something to just shrug at and laugh off.Honest question, why do people care so much about the THQ stuff. come on guys, it was a simple whoopsie daisy! nothing more. what a world. It's probably because child pornography isn't something to just shrug at and laugh off.
Honest answer - if you do even the slightest bit of research on 8chan, you immediately find out it's 4chan + child porn. The fact there was no due diligence, as well as the fact they are promoting a child porn website, means that they don't deserve any room for error. The link is still up. They liked posts defending this.Honest question, why do people care so much about the THQ stuff. It doesn't effect your life or games or anything whatsoever. This is a major company giving a platform to the users of a site promoting racism, sexism, and child pornography. Those aren't just "bad things" but things that are actively harmful and dangerous to other humans, and by promoting that community, you're risking adding more people to their ranks.Honest question, why do people care so much about the THQ stuff. Well he's probably on a list somewhere nowIn case you missed it... One of the two dudes replying to the questions on the AMA is an actual member of the THQN board of directors....
