waking up to the new zealand mosque terrorist attack sure sucks. gutted for the loved ones of the victims and the good people of christchurch. sickened and angry at all the enablers of white supremacy and islamophobia, including every single irony-poisoned edgelord who thinks it's all jokes and says they're not really nazis.

all for the banning of any thread discussing thq nordic games until the people responsible for that 8chan ama get fired. they are now 100% complicit in terrorism in addition to being complicit in child pornography.

also, it's day 6 here in my part of metro manila where we have no running water, and everything stinks including me, the private company responsible, and our administration for their sale of our natural resources to china that's linked to this mess.

i'd really like to just play titanfall 2 after watching the latest breaking brad, get baba is you because apparently it's amazing, try out warframe because of the gbeast playdate, continue playing fallout new vegas because whoa that game is so good i know i'm lttp, and fire up apex legends because it's still super fucking fun

but nope, i need to get work done soon so i should probably close this tab on era after this post.

Best value is to save your Platinum currency for warframe and weapon inventory slots. If you want to buy something else, wait for a discount coupon from the login reward system.

Hardest to farm frames are probably Equinox and Mesa. There are plenty of exceptions, but the standard way to craft a frame is to buy a blueprint from the store and farm a boss for 3 parts. Equinox however has 8 parts, and Mesa requires the squad leader to craft a key item from a rare resource for each run on the boss. (Mesa also has a more powerful Prime variant available at the moment, which might be worth going after instead.)

I've actually been listening to way more of Waypoint's podcasts lately cause they've been getting a real good energy going; found myself getting pretty into Waypoints and Be Good And Rewatch It

The Warframe playdate was hilarious. I kept hoping someone would point out to Vinny that the most insane thing about Warframe is that it's (sort of) a Dark Sector sequel. But Mahardy understands how to space ninja around and their reactions to the insanity were just wonderful.

I've come back to Warframe a couple times over the years and the last time was when a huge Hydroid pack price error happened. I basically ended up with more platinum than I could imagine spending. The funny thing is, in Warframe...that doesn't mean as much as it would in other F2P stuff. Platinum is best used on inventory slots (as mentioned by BlackLagoon) and the upgrades that double mod capacity for weapons and frames. I did cave a little and bought Mesa because she is super cool. But there's no reason to go hardcore pay to win in the game, because it's shockingly quite fine without doing so. The craziest thing about it is that you can just give the paid currency to people. I straight up gave a bunch to my pure F2P friend. What other F2P games let you do that??

I should pick it up again at some point and drag my buddy back in, I'd like to see what's changed since late 2017. We haven't played anything co-op in ages, it's either this or we finally start Divinity Original Sin 2. I got DMC5 to deal with though.

They've improved a lot recently especially the cato and nathalie. At the same time they talk so much tv and movies now that i skip a lot of what they put out... It's not that it's bad, but i my interest in those is limited.

frankly i hope not, beyond a short "thoughts and prayers"-esque acknowledgement.. they usually half-ass this kind of thing with platitudes, vinny especially. I'd rather they just don't cover it if they're not going to give it the time it deserves. they'd need to get into the weeds on how pdp and the youtube algorithm are a direct gateway to becoming a nazi, basically. and i don't know that any of them except maybe Alex know enough to speak to that. I'd sooner look to waypoint, who will almost certainly extensively cover it.

Surprised Jeff isn't trying to play Yoshi with his kid. My 3 year old has been obsessed and forcing me to play the one level demo constantly since she first saw it.

Actually that could be a smart decision.

There was a time when a subject like this and how it relates to gaming could have been properly tackled by these. That was with Patrick and, I think more so, Austin. That time's gone.

they are entertainers who barely know what's going on in gaming news half the time. I don't think you should attempt to cover something if you can't do it justice. And I just can't see them being willing to put youtube and pewdiepie and his ilk on blast for being complicit in spreading white supremacy and radicalizing white kids given their history of covering this kind of stuff.

I'm sure they'll acknowledge it. I don't think we'll get a simple "thoughts and prayers" thing. They won't go deep deep into it, but will at the very least say something the effect that words are not enough. As another as mentioned, Waypoint is where to expect to see a lengthy discussion about the event and how it intersects with the gaming community.

They probably didnt see the Pewdiepie part of the story. It's been reported that only one of the four suspects said that Pewdiepie thing.

Unfortunately I agree with both of these. Cover it appropriately or not at all; there should be no half-measures here.


And yeah, echoing the Waypoint mentions. They're extremely willing to tackle serious news with equally serious takes. It's something I appreciate about them a lot.

They're not idiots. Alex at least fully knows how awful this stuff is. I'd rather them at least attempt to talk about this stuff instead of acting like everything is hunky dory.

Given that they are able to have kids with humans i'd say that them being mammals is a pretty strong hypothesis.
