Man, Plague Tale is really good. I'm about 4 hours in now and it's a cool mix of something more story driven like Hellblade with a bit of new Tomb Raider thrown in. The story and voice acting are great, and it doesn't feel like an escort mission at all since the brother and sister move as one for most of the game. Really hoping they do some sort of coverage for it on the site.

Also, if anyone picks it up, I highly recommend going Metro on it and turning on French VA with English subtitles.

i tried to get an idea what kind of game it was by looking over the OT but it didn't seem anyone has much interest in posting gameplay clips or descriptions and i eventually lost interest in finding out.

Well with MK 11 done (till character dlc) I'm just down to Borderlands the Prequel and Tales from the Borderlands as backlog.

It's a shame I fell off Hitman 2 but it just doesn't have the magic the original had for me.

I'm considering buying A Plague Tale and Rage 2 but I will hold off for now...

haha, I just impulse purchased it after seeing this. I've dabbled in previous Civ games but never really dug in. VI seems like I could get deep, plus I like having the expansions all at once too. thanks for posting

I have the base Civ6 game and now that it's on sale I'm pondering if I should buy the DLC (well only the first xpac is on sale I guess since the second one just came out).

It's a stealth/puzzle focused action/adventure with a heavy emphasis on story. The major gameplay beats are using stealth to avoid/take out guards and solving puzzles to avoid what is more or less a flood of plague rats. The visual effect of the rats in particular is one of the more unsettling things I've seen in a while in a game.

It had slipped my mind that Will Smith is still working in the VR space. I know he'd never talk about it due to likely having external investment but I wonder where his gut is at on the longevity/viability of the space. It kind of feels like the bubble of excitement from a few years back will likely not reach the same fever pitch for another generation of hardware at the very least.

I'm pretty sure he did talk about that subject on a previous Bombcast he was on.

Cornered by a coworker trying to start a conversation about the Epic Games Store and I can't think of a subject I have less desire to talk about in real damn life. There are times I wish I had more friends who were into gaming, but sometimes it's nice to have it all go away as soon as I step away from the internet lol

I feel like every time we see Will he talks about Foo stuff that still coming soon but like... what has actually come out of Foo lately? From what I can see the last episode (which is episode 4) came out almost a year ago. It's been 2 and a half years and they still haven't completed the first "season".

The way Fortnite has changed how people view the time between game updates might be the worst thing about it.

People just don't want to let games mature and come into their own. Everything needs to be dealt with ASAP and it sucks.

In retrospect I would bet that he wouldn't have gone with the episodic model, at least in the labelling/presentation. I'm sure it's a ton of work but 3 years for 4 episodes isn't a great look from the outside.

Funny story white ninja comics started in The Sheaf our university paper at the University of Saskatchewan in the early 2000s when I was getting my degree, I was buddies with Kent and Scott and was their moderator on the official forums back then hah.
