Yeah, he wouldn't know anything about that. It is just info that goes hand in hand with the momentum from GoW, so he is going for it.How does he know? Isn't most of what that dude posts BS or at least without amy source? (I seem to remember some "rumors" from him from the past).
Are there any spoilers in the episode? Does Greg do his usual thing? If he does, I'm not watching or listening to that episode.Cory in the latest episode of kinda Funny says it took one of their system engineer 43 hours to 100% the game. This great.
AH, okay...Fair points - I was actually meaning more towards the fact he is core to the gameplay, I guess I'm just kind of worried the game is to be like a Naughty Dog escort mission..
40 mins into the Cory Segment and no spoilers yet.Are there any spoilers in the episode? Does Greg do his usual thing? If he does, I'm not watching or listening to that episode.
There is shout out to resetera at 1:20 mark
I was waiting for this comment lol.
watched the KF video earlier - some highlights
- game fast tracked into development due to cancellation of another game
- peak of 300 worked on the game with 2 other developers outside so biggest thing SSM done
- talked about E3 2016
- system designer to 100% everything in the game took 43 hours and he knows what to do
- can remap buttons
- can turn off damage indicators and turn off health bars, there is a good explanation of why it was included
- as someone mentioned earlier, photomode. Cory's goal is to have it on Day One but wants to make sure everything is dialed in and depends on disability and other stuff which is in priority of this.
They also talked about peoples comments such as people similar to the Last of Us and people's reaction (meltdown) on the famous issue following combat reveal. At the end Cory also talks about the future of GoW

They're not really bosses. They've just made the trolls of past games a bigger deal to fight.
Doesn't look like a "boss" boss, more like a mini-boss that will become a regular enemy
The narrative and characters are certainly a large reason why TLOU has been such a critical success but the versatility of the combat is what has made it my most replayed game outside of SOTN. The game has really excellent combat with some of the best feedback of any game.
I wouldn't call that unique in appearance. Comparing to Asylum Demon/Stray Demon/Demon Firesage sure, it's a much bigger difference, but it's like the first Troll but using his pre-order exclusive skin or something like that.Reused bosses? There just trolls, and they're all actually unique in appearance and move sets according to the video.
Ya they're similar except for the paint, and skull mask the troll is wearing. I like that they're all going to look a little different thoIt has a boss health bar and it takes quite some time to defeat. I'd say it's a boss.
The "boss health bar at the bottom of the screen" tip also indicates it's a boss.
It's fine, I didn't mind the 3 Stray Demons in Dark Souls and I won't mind it here, as long as it's not used as a substitute for actual reward. Finding a completely optional hidden area with its own boss only for it to end up being the 8th variation of that Troll would be incredibly disappointing.
The worrying part isn't having these reused bosses, it's the fact that this is the second boss fight we get to see. I don't think From Software would make it their priotity to show a bunch of Stray Demon fights in their official coverage. On the other hand, From Software usually doesn't care as much about spoilers as Santa Monica seems to with this title.

For sure, they look really cool. Interested to see what the final boss count for this game is.Ya they're similar except for the paint, and skull mask the troll is wearing. I like that they're all going to look a little different tho

Yeah, I remember hearing that they weren't bosses. I just figured that is what Furisco was talking about with the post up above.dont think its a boss...its in line with previous GOW games which reused enemies like the cyclopses
This game low key might hit the 8 digit numbers when the best selling GOW has sold 5-6m at most.Man God of War is already lighting up the Amazon charts its at nr3 right now on the best sellers list.

That's insane. That's how long it took somebody familiar with the game to finish it. Just imagine how long it'll take regular players to finish it. It's more than three times how long it would take to 100% the old games. Just when I thought I couldn't get more excited.Cory in the latest episode of kinda Funny says it took one of their system engineer 43 hours to 100% the game. This great.
I'm really interested about Atreus after listening the history of the great war on The Last Pages, and seeing a little of his background.
It hinted that Freya is his mother, after having her powers sealed by Odin. Atreus can hear animals, but he can hear a voice calling him coward. Maybe that voice is the Spartan blood inside him? And while going against an enemy, his eyes turned red in a fury attack.
With that said, and the great war context laid out, I think Kratos will be lead to face Odin and "avenge" Freya. I don't know if the ashes are gonna be some sort of spell, or if it is something just to lure Kratos to Odin, or if it is something similar to the ashes of Kratos wife and daughter. I just think that this will be the context of the fights.
I definitely think the ashes are meant to do something more than simply having Kratos cross paths with the Aesir gods. It could be both too, with the mother (I don't think any of the episodes or other things ever mentions her name so I'll keep it out, just in case) hoping that Kratos either deals with the the Aesir on his way there, on top of her ashes having some effect on the realms.
Good point about Atreus' ability to tune into nature and hear the thoughts/feelings of animals and the like. I tried to see if Freya has any particular connection to nature but found none, but it would make more sense than simply being a random supernatural ability he received from Kratos being a god, especially since Kratos' "powers," (the super strength, endurance, etc.) are quite the opposite.
There's a lore thread for the podcasts, by the way, in case you want to discuss it more.
