Wow nice fine,
It was honestly what I was looking forward to most, and then I played Hellblade.I'm so excited to get to dive into the Norse mythology with this.

GoW4 will be doing very well to come anywhere close to that games depiction of Norse mythology.
Me too they seems to making a much more realize world then their other GOW games.I'm so excited to get to dive into the Norse mythology with this.
Seems it just a happy coincidence, I really cannot recommend Hellblade highly enough, doubly so if you were interested in the Norse aspect.I've been really wanting to play this too but haven't bought it yet. Maybe Norse games will become the new zombies.
In the E3 trailer last year a female character makes reference to Kratos killing the Greek gods. I don't recall exactly what she said but IIRC it will definitely be an issue in the game.Do the Norse Gods in this game know that it was Kratos that killed the Olympians?

I can honestly swear I remember some reference to what Kratos had done. She says that he is "an outsider", nothing about killing the Greek gods.

The marketing as a whole has been fantastic for the game
A story within any myth is told at the discretion of the teller. That is why there are often multiple versions of same myth or in Athena's case, completely different versions of her "origin story". When in comes to Norse, things get even more complicated because there is no hard rules and most of the stories are lost to time. That is what they are treating this game as, Lost Pages of Prose Edda. Santa Monica made shit up when they were doing Greek mythology as well. Sometimes it is necessary change things so that it fits with the story they are trying to tell. This is Santa Monica's version of Norse mythology. Besides, even in this episode no one is doing things that are completely out of character. Thor is Thor, Odin is still cunning motherfucker and poor Tyr just goes along with whatever rest of the Aesirs are scheming.I wish they just stuck with actual lore instead of making shit up. There is enough stuff to work with.
