THIS GAME PLAYS OUT IN ONE SHOT!?!?
WTF
1 shot. From the start to the end? Am I getting that right?????????
I can say already that the combat in God of War feels like it has more possibilities than before, even at the start.
I've only read a little bit, but seems they just mean he's not an angry bellend all the time now.
I guess we can blame Mad Max Fury Road for God of War's reinvention. Sounds like a lot of George Miller's style influenced Cory and his approach to Kratos and the game
"The final, and perhaps most impressive thing about God of War is the fact that the entire game unfolds in a single, unbroken shot. There are no cutscenes, no load screens, no camera cuts, no fades to black. Despite the fact that game director Cory Barlog told us this back at E3 2016, the wildly-impressive effectiveness of this choice didn't sink in until we actually went hands-on the game and realized that it was 100% true. I can't really think of another game of this scope that has utilized this cinematic technique, but it's an incredible feat. The unwavering immediacy in which we spend our time with Kratos adds even more depth to him and in turn, to his relationship with his son"
My goodness, this sounds amazing from IGN preview
They've said he has a button dedicated to him, so he can probably be used for combos and stuff too.Wait, one of the previews mentions you can direct control Atreus as in just let him circle around shooting and stunning enemies or directly command him to shoot arrows (aiming included). Also apparently he has limited arrows (guessing you can upgrade that as you go along). Really interesting.
Is that supposed be a good thing. I know a lot of people that dislike the TLOU compared to Uncharted.
What about the spectacle? Im just worried about this, i want a new direction but i want the awesome boss battles too.
Any word on this matter?
"This is a game that feels completely different from top to bottom but understands exactly what God of War is and that DNA is pulsing through it the entire time. It was the best of both worlds in a really beautiful way."
MGSV had loading screens and cut to black.
The success of ps4 allow them to be more loose on deadline and letting dev to have the time to get it right, since third party games deal are what selling ps4 during holidays etc.Don't know what Sony studios have been on this generation, but it's looking like this is another huge hit. I'm so loving this new direction...
