Yeah this just about locks in me for day 1. While I was hyped and gonna get it, this really does it for me.

Wait, one of the previews mentions you can direct control Atreus as in just let him circle around shooting and stunning enemies or directly command him to shoot arrows (aiming included). Also apparently he has limited arrows (guessing you can upgrade that as you go along). Really interesting.

Love the colours but textures are really rough. Those trees especially and road looks like somebody forgot to turn on tessellation.
The majority of people love Uncharted and TLoU, as they are fantastic games, so I'd say it's a good thing.
It seems to me like they're keeping most of the spectacle under wraps until it releases.

Nope, plenty of cuts. I think the idea here is that everything is one take, I suppose that means story too.
I'm now confident that this game will be one the big Goty contenders and that it will get a 90+ on Metacritic. The combat looks do geluid and the visualis are great.
MGSV has cuts every time you enter and exit missions. What they mean with GoW is that once the game starts the camera never cuts away. It's all done in a single shot. All 30h of the game.
No, there were definitely load times in that game and was not a continuous shot.
The success of ps4 allow them to be more loose on deadline and letting dev to have the time to get it right, since third party games deal are what selling ps4 during holidays etc.
Geoff Keighley is pretty sold on it (as is mostly all of the press covering the game). It's funny to contrast the statements in the previews with the knee-jerk reactions of those who called the game a "cinematic thing". Glad that SSM is blowing it out of the park after how Ascension felt lacking to me.
