I mean I'm not gonna stop visiting Youtube, searching with google, or using GMail. Gaming isn't some sacred space.
I didn't bring up Apple, I responded to a post that brought up Apple.Which is fine, but the illusion that Apple has the moral high ground is the same "console war" bullshit
You nonetheless defending them like they were morally superior.I didn't bring up Apple, I responded to a post that brought up Apple.
I feel Apple is morally superior to Google. Note: not morally clean. But better than Google. You nonetheless defending them like they were morally superior.
Fair enough, can't say I agree.I feel Apple is morally superior to Google. Note: not morally clean. But better than Google.
I feel Apple is morally superior to Google. Note: not morally clean. But better than Google.
I feel Apple is morally superior to Google. Note: not morally clean. But better than Google.
i really disagree.I feel Apple is morally superior to Google. Note: not morally clean. But better than Google.
Tim Apple would never do that! *gasp*You mean the same Apple that's cozying it up with Donald Trump?.
One day you will learn that responding to people ≠ console war bullshitYou know that "console war bullshit" you claimed? Yeah, you're not helping.
Pretty sure people said the same thing when Microsoft was bringing out XBox. None of this moralizing is going to matter if what they put out there is the bees knees; gamers will go to them, and the industry will change.
I don't know if they're anti-consumer any more than any other company. They have the best customer support of any major electronics company. Their products are expensive in and of themselves, yes, but that's not "anti consumer".i really disagree.
they definitely do less data tracking (which i'm generally ambivalent about) but theyre anti consumer, anti competitive, greedy, they also haven't taken down the absher app, and foxconn alone is a bigger issue than everything in the op.
One day you will learn that responding to people ≠ console war bullshit
I didn't bring up Apple. Others did. I've been responding to them. My original posts were all about Google.
the saudi app that the op mentioned in his rundown.I don't know if they're anti-consumer any more than any other company. They have the best customer support of any major electronics company. Their products are expensive in and of themselves, yes, but that's not "anti consumer".
They are absolutely anti competitive, and they need to be taken down a notch. Hopefully Spotify's suit in Europe comes to bite them in the ass.
Greedy, every single company is greedy. No company isn't.
Foxconn is a big fucking issue, and far be it from me to trivialize it. But every company is using Foxconn. I can't use "uses Foxconn" as a point of differentiation.
What's the Absher app?
nice I'll check out VivaldiThey do, they can be installed through the regular Chrome Web Store.
Didn't Cook say Apple is looking into taking it down? And Google said "We won't take it down?"
You know this post literally doesn't make any sense, right? One day you might learn that pointing out inconsistencies is not console war bullshit.
I'm sorry for missing your post (got caught up in the heated arguments lol).If you like Chrome but hate Google I suggest you try Vivaldi or Brave (the first puts emphasis on user customization, the second on privacy), both run on Chromium (which is open source) so you'd keep most of the things you like about Chrome without the bad things. Brave is also available on mobile.
This is a joke, right?I don't know, OP. Competition is always a good thing, or so I hear around here a lot. Maybe now Sony, MS and Nintendo will actually use their money to develop new things.
neither google or amazon are to be trusted if they get into games.
Apparently only when it regards consoles
Pretty sure people said the same thing when Microsoft was bringing out XBox. None of this moralizing is going to matter if what they put out there is the bees knees; gamers will go to them, and the industry will change.
Pretty much.Lol as long as I get some killer games I don't really give a shit.
This is like a shot for shot remake of people freaking out about Microsoft entering the console market
Serious question for those who have stated it, why is "shaking up the console market" more important than ethics?
So your answer is to add to the "evil"?Because a lot of these ethical issues can be applied to the current 3 manufacturers, from the use of minerals from countries in war, to the use of Foxconn factories... To even contributing to drones for the american army in the case of Microsoft it seems.
Why are Google's ethical issues only being brought up because they might be entering the console market?Serious question for those who have stated it, why is "shaking up the console market" more important than ethics?
There's no answer. Every choice a consumer makes is a bit (or a lot) or a compromise. You choose what you feel is the best, others do the same. I think people are getting on your case for your kind of high-horse stance more than anything.
