That race really came down to the first stint. The fact that BMW were on mediums and still kept pace with the Audi and Porsche on softs meant that they had the upper hand so long as they didn't make some huge mistake.

BMW pretty much judged that race perfectly. They had an 8s gap when going onto their hards for the final stint. The softs are supposed to be 2s a lap faster than the hard tires. But by the time BMW got onto the hard tires those softs from the other drivers had already started to fall off. So they still ended up winning by 3.6s.

I know i shouldn't be surprised, but i didn't expect actual stewards for these races lol.

Don't really get why Toyota was penalised though

Driver of the Day really has to be Miyazono. His "crazy" pit stop strategy finally paid off. Now that others know it works it's going to be interesting to see if more people start attempting it.

In this race it had 4 racers trying this strategy, but Miyazono raced way better than the 3 others racers.
And yes he deserves driver of the day.

what was his strategy/what was unusual about it?
You've got to run on all tire types, meaning at a minimum you have to make two pit stops so you can change to the other two tires. Miyazono started the race on hard tires (he was one of only two drivers to do that), then he ran a lap on them and switched to mediums. He ran on those until Lap 9 when he finally came on for softs. He'd later pit for a fresh set of softs. So his gamble was that he could off set the time that he'd serve doing an additional pit by running the majority of the race on soft tires. By doing that it also meant that he'd more than likely have one of the freshest set of soft tires for the last stretch of the race.

Not America
So just watched it and yea, what a nail biting finish that was Nation's Cup.

Gran Turismo's entire system working towards a great spectator toolset keeps on paying great dividends.
