Yeah it's actually soon now! $34.99 USD/$44.99 CDN isn't too bad, I do wish it had a retail release. Maybe in the future. Really excited to see how the confirmed 60fps performance mode runs. It also supports GC controllers!

I can wait. It's a solid racer and all but I think I bought it for like 10 Euros 4-5 years ago. Not gonna spend 3.5x that amount for it now :\

It's complete version on iOS is $10. And it looks crazy good (maybe The best looking iOS game to date) on latter models. I hope button tax is worth extra $25.

Kind of a bad date for me unfortunately. I might still pick it up, could do with a good real world racing game on Switch.

Will likely be the most realistic racer to ever be on the Switch. As someone that owns this on PC, I highly recommend!

Surprised this didn't get any more Fanfare. The Grid games are great and it's also great to having a racing Sim on a Nintendo platform.

Keeping an eye on this, as I'd love a proper racing game on Switch. I have it on iOS and, from what I've played, it's solid. They've also supported it and made significant improvements over the years.

Gear.Club Unlimited 2 left me disappointed due to the terrible input lag during gameplay.

One of my most anitcipated releases and I guess this also be the first time many will play this game because of how late it came out last gen.
And it looks like they really take this port serious.

Interesting to see that the game has an energy saver mode when undocked.

This looks really cool! I also read that it supports the analog triggers of the GameCube controller, which is nice.

Here's a little commentary/play from Feral..

Wow, they weren't lying about the Switch version being a separate build than iOS version. This looks much much better than the same game running on my iPhone X. Definitely getting this.

I hope this becomes successful enough and Feral brings more racers to Switch. I want Dirt Rally and Dirt 4 too.

It's a remaster of a PS3/360 title from like ten years ago. It's download only and there's a superior version available for PS4/Xbone.

I think it would be cool to have Grid 2 remastered. It was a game that came out at the wrong time (only a few months before new consoles). Unfortunately Grid 2 caused the IP to stall out.

Grid is awesome though. I played it on PS3 before I got an HDTV. It was the first game I played on my new TV and holy crap was it different than playing on a tube TV.

Dirt Rally 2 still has similar handling to Grid even though it's a much newer title.

No, this is a port of the 2014 game which came out on PS3/360/PC. It's more recent than Grid 2.

Is this more similar to something like Forza than it is to the original GRiD games?

I think you're mistaken. The Grid game that came out just before PS4 and Xbox One is this, Grid Autosport. Grid 2 is much older game.

And there is no "better Grid game" available on other consoles. Yet. Autosport is the most recent one and Grid reboot is coming out in 3 days. And it's nothing like this one. This is a true sim game like Gran Turismo. Grid reboot is more arcadey compared to Autosport.

How much should it be though? It does have all the dlc included.
20$ would be instant buy from me for a digital only release

This is why i passed on Titan Quest despite loving the game.

This isn't a remaster, it's a straight port. And as such should be priced accordingly. I doubt it would release at that price in that state on ps4/xbone.

We are rightfully mocking Capcom for their switch ports pricing, it should be the same for THQ or Codemasters here

Ok. So there's Race Driver: Grid that came out in 2008. Then there's Grid 2 which was 2013. After that, there's Grid Autosport (2014) which is apparently a totally different game than the original Grid, which for some reason wasn't released on PS4 and Xbone.

So, this Switch version is Grid Autosport (2014) which hasn't been released on PS4 and Xbone and won't be.

Then, next month for PS4 and Xbone there's "GRID" which is a completely new game.

Wow, that's kind of confusing.

Anyway, guess this version is worth a look, and now I know there's a brand new Grid coming out next month. Hype, I guess?

For all the DLC, it's another $29.99 for the season pass...

This does have really time damage right? Also how does it compare in looks to ps360 version. This is going to be the first real racing sim on Nintendo in a LONG time. As long as performance is good I'm down.

Would this be a good thing to get for someone who's main experience with somewhat 'realistic' driving games is the Forza Horizon series? I've been wanting a decent driving game on the Switch for a while but Gear Club seemed a bit janky and the more specialised racers seemed to be way too 'hardcore' for me.

Absolutely.

I'll do a video side by side of my XS Max and the Switch version when it comes out.

Thanks. What kind of assist options are there? In FH I tend to have most of the driving assists on bar the stuff that practically drives the car for you, and the driving line I have on for when I need to break. Also would you say it's more similar to Gran Turismo or Forza Horizon? I do have GT: Sport but I just can't get into it in the same way I did with Horizon.

Gonna say no honestly.

I liked both Grid and Grid 2, which are both more sim-cade than Autosport. I'm ok with the Horizon games, from what I've played. I refunded Autosport.

Hmmm, OK. A demo would be nice as I'd definitely like to get a good feel for how the game plays before I buy it.
