I like the looks. I don't like games where your sole objective is to run and jump good. RIP. Guess I'll wait for reviews just to be sure though.
This game does look nice, but i'm not convinced by the gameplay yet. From the demo videos, looks like it has some basic platforming and a lot running. I'll definitely wait for some reviews.

You gradually unlock skills that make the basic gameplay more complex over time. It's a bit Metroidvania-like, but without the backtracking. It's not a challenging game, but it's not just jumping and running

Yeah that model is pretty much my holy grail rn for TVs lol...here's hoping more manufacturers adopt oled besides LG (I think Sony has plans to make some) so my poor ass might be able to afford one some day xD

Philips make a stunning one, but I don't have £1,500+ to get it!

I just got one of their "budget" 4k ones, which knocks the shit out of my old 10 year old Philips one which was 4 times the price!

E: I'm slow.

3 hours is more than fine. Games like Abzu, Journey, Gone Home, What Remains of Edith Finsh and more prove short game experience can be outstanding as well. Sometimes it's nice not having a hard challenging game for once.

4players gave it 90%. That`s pretty rare for that site.

Just bought and fired up the game.

Absolutely beautiful, and definitely recommend to be played with a good headphone.
I wanna post more screenshot but it's something I feel people need to see for themselves.
(and Switch screenshot quality kinda sucks and doesn't do the game justice)

So... I didn't know the game was a 2D Walking simulator. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but in the 30mins I've been playing all I've done is walk right and experience some gorgeous things. Seriously, the art and music are outstanding. There's a section with red sand storms that blow at you and the music whenever they pick up sounds like Interstellar which is high praise in my eyes... or ears. But like I said, I've seen nothing outside of collect glowy thing and walk right, but I'm assuming this game is about the journey rather than the gameplay so I'm okay with it being light on gameplay to give me a treat to the eyes and ears.

Update:
About 37mins in and got my first ability so the game has a somewhat Metroidvania approach to its design, with what looks like some backtracking to access areas with the new abilities but focuses mostly on a linear approach.

Update 2:

It says in the trailer that it's supposed to be a relaxing and frustration free game. So yes it's kinda like Journey.

Yeah it feels a lot like Journey in its approach to gameplay and 'hints' to push you forward. Plays somewhat differently, as expected, but damn beautiful.

Another update, about an hour in now. Puzzle Platformer elements have been gently introduced, all have been really easy so far though. I'm blown away by the variety of areas and colour palettes - it is a gorgeous game visually and audibly.

Game is gorgeous, and the music is wonderful. I gotta buy the soundtrack; spent about 10 mins playing.

If you own any Devolver Digltal-published game on Switch, Gris will discount to $14.44 (in the US... probably a similar discount in Europe).

This game is just an absolutely amazing piece of artwork. Music, sound design, graphics... I'm quite enjoying the gameplay as well, controls are responsive.

I really like that as you progress you
get a world that keeps adding colour palletes. Red, green and so on. Amazing sense of progress through the addition of colours. I love it!

I asked this in the review thread, but I remember seeing this as coming to PS4 at some point. Was that true? I have a Mac so I can still play, but would prefer to do it on my PS4 (even if it's down the line). Just want to support the studio.

Along with Ashen and Dusk, December is already pretty stacked with great indie game releases.

This game is priced to move.

The art style is just phenomenal. I really hope gameplay holds up and sales follow.

Played 80 minutes of this and had to pull myself away. One of the most striking things I've played all year. Got me all inspired and stuff.
