That's a very interesting post. And if there's one thing I've learned from it - why the hell does anyone develop for PC! It seems so extraordinarily complicated with all the features that you have to cater for over and above console. And arguably the games sell least on the platform.

PC ports are cheaper to make than console ports in a lot of cases.

The key to PC that consoles don't have is longevity. There are games released on PC 6, 7 years ago that still sell well to this day and that can't be said for 99% of games on consoles. Its always about the latest and greatest there.

You develop a good, solid version of a game on PC and it will stand the test of time.
