Bigly. It's bigly in development. That's how in development is it. The biggest.
They missed the boat about ten years ago.I feel like these videogame movies and TVs are coming out much later than they should. The Warcraft movie should have been made years ago at the peak of the WOW craze. Halo is not as popular as it use to be and I'm not sure a TV show would get a large enough audience.
If the TV show can get a huge budget and has very high production values, Sci Fi fans will eat it up. Sadly I think this might be all it is. Really hope something comes of this but it's been so long.Probably means some person is mulling over a script that has made the rounds for years.

But we're living in new times where you have content providers willing to fund a season of TV well over 100 million dollar budgets. I mean if Marco Polo or The Get Down could get it from Netflix, why couldn't Halo with the backing of Steven Speilberg and Microsoft.Sci Fi action is very expensive and hard to pull off, even for blockbuster movies with massive budgets. There's a reason why a lot of space opera shows have a lot of scenes of interiors and usually a sparse amount of action. And that's fine. The problem is that Halo is an action game and there is an expectation that there will be tons of action. Like if there is a gun battle with the Convenant in nearly every episode, that's going to be really hard to on a consistent level.
In the movie? Have you seen it already or something?Well there's quite of few Halo references in the Ready Player One movie for what that's worth lol
Nice that they're still talking somewhat about it and not shoving it under the rug.
This series is real but the movie is long dead. The script leaked awhile ago if anyone is curious enough to skim through it. https://www.gamezone.com/wp-content...Movie20Script20-20Garland20Alex202-6-2005.pdf
