Casual-ish (I got a dozen or so hard perfects) player here.

Absolutely love Future Tone though, it plays a little different but the amount of songs is just beyond comprehension.

If DX gets a release over here I may very well do the double dip.

nice thread. i can hang with some songs in extreme but when it comes to the hardest 3-4 songs its a wrap

It's been said a lot but this a new thread: F, F2nd and X have an awesome artstyle that isn't done as well in Future Tone. The models don't look as good in FT. I hope the non-arcade games aren't done. They were my introduction to vocaloid and I still like them best. So definitely time for another one. I would want X2nd if they added the stuff that was removed like edit mode.

I've recently hooked up our PS3 again to go back to Diva F2nd, which I never really got deep into, since Diva X just isn't doing it for me.

I haven't really been keeping up on Miku news recently though, any word on a Switch game?

Future Tone DX is pretty much it. They've been very, very quiet lately; Arcade isn't getting updates anymore (in fact, the two songs introduced in DX aren't even in Arcade). I always felt Future Tone coming the way it did was a sign they were ready to roll the series to a stop, and nothing that has happened since has convinced me otherwise, unfortunately.

When I was in Osaka last year, the MaiMai and Chunithm cabs were always busy. The PD ones were looking very much unplayed sadly. Seeing how it takes a LOT less effort to push out new tunes to those games compared to PD I think it was obvious what was going to happen.

PD FT was an exercise in getting the last drops of cash out of the franchise, If we get anything at all it's gonna be along the lines of X most likely, no more fancy PVs. If FT is the end? I'm happy that we got it. OUT.... WITH A BANG, not a whimper.

That's sad. I'd love to have another game in the vein of Project Mirai.

I think Arcade did get an update two days ago, adding an Extra Extreme difficulty for two songs. So yeah, low effort update, but I guess it's not completely dead yet.
