Flamewaker without Mana Wyrm, Mad Scientist, Dr. Boom, Firelands Portal, Ice Lance, Yogg, or Aluneth is probably a very different deck. I'm not sure Mana Cyclone is a great substitute for stuff like that, even in this slower overall meta.

I could see Kun being very annoying. It'd be totally fine except quest makes it give 10 armor on top of it being a late game 0 mana 7/7.

Avenge and Call of the Wild might be intimidating as well, but probably not as frustrating as Kun.

I find it funny that its hunter decks that take me the furthest. And yes, Highlander Hunter is amazing, best dust investment I've made. Almost went for quest mage...

I hit Rank 8 with a Murloc Shaman deck, but I didn't really like playing it. I guess I'm just more of a mid-ranger than aggro. And Zuljin wouldn't work with Highlander Hunter as there are not that many spells, right?

Took a short break from Hearthstone due to work and life being a bit crazy. Played some of the new adventure and had a bit of fun. The current meta seems interesting enough, so I'm going to grind some games before the new event starts.

This mid expansion meta shake-up is pretty cool.

Zuljin is great in the deck. One of the most important cards because you play a ton of spells and it lets you reload if your board gets cleared

Edit: was just watching GM and I know it's always easier as a spectator to spot misplays and better lines but holy shit at the play PNC made after just seeing Rase buff a Frothing with Sweeping Strike. Like he just threw away his minions with a play he probably thought was a risky greedy play that could possibly pay off instead of just putting inner fire on the Frothing and playing Bwomsandi

Zul'Jin is extremely popular in Highlander Hunter, but I personally am not a fan because it makes you put in below average cards like Unleash the Beast, Hunter's Pack, and Baited Arrow. Take all three of those out of your deck and there aren't enough spells to make Zul'Jin good.

At the very least, it's a much less obvious inclusion than people treat it to be, because cons are a lot more hidden than the pros are.

I think come tuesday, N'Zoth will take over Zul'Jin's spot as the better card.

I dunno, I really like unleash the beast. I agree with hunters pack and baited arrow though. I removed those early on and put in different cards.

Edit: another GM moment but with Frozen this time. Not playing Frost Nova when he easily could've, ended up costing him the game.

If anybody wants to dip into wild with a dumb deck you might not have heard of if you only play standard, mechbuff paladin is very cheap and annoyingly effective.

You put a stupid amount of stats on the board very very early and a lot of it is effectively charge damage because of magnetic.

I teched in a plague in my renolock to try to beat them but don't often have enough early minions to slow them down.


No epics, only one legendary aside from sn1p, and zilliax is semi cuttable.

I was proud of myself for spotting the Elemental evocation > Zephrys > inner fire > inner fire on the silenced doomsayer > trade into injured blademaster to get a guarenteed win against priest. Unfortunately he didn't see that line, and it cost him the match. Like you said, there were a bunch of lines that he could have taken to give the priest no chance as well.

I'm a Blizzard fanboy from way back. My favorite developer of all time. This is very hard for me. Removing skeletons because of Chinese cultural sensitivity is dumb but harmless. Not putting the Taiwan flag in Overwatch is pretty fucking questionable. This crosses the line. Can't ignore it. Feel like kind of a clown because it's hard to say I'm done with them forever, but definitely putting Hearthstone and SC2 on the shelf for a while.

The thing is ALL companies are like this. All they care about is maximizing profits and one surefire way to do that is by capitalizing on the enormous Chinese market. The NBA is currently going through a similar scandal and as long as these HK protests continue, more Western companies are going to find themselves stuck between defending freedom of speech and kowtowing to the Chinese government.

I'm not going to defend blizz here, they are the ones to blame for this bullshit, but it's really disheartening that because china is such a huge market all companies do this.

Disney is known to have limits to what they do because they do not want to upset the japanese goverment, even when they preach their "wokeness" on public and the western market.

Adam Silver of NBA basically burn China bridge in the latest statement tho..as result all of NBA broadcast in china would be cancelled.

I support all the Boycotts and anger. That said I do want to log in, check my status towards rewards and play some of the new meta 😭

Hopefully Blizzard can make amends so we can go back to playing.

Argh, the patch seems to have broken the ability to edit the options.txt file on Android (which I used to edit the fps and force 60fps). It seems to save and work correctly using ES File Explorer but then launching Hearthstone results in 30fps play and the file being edited back to targetframerate=0. Halp

the fact that the emotes of the 1K portraits are exactly the same as the normal ones is just really underwhelming for me, it's just an image change... some emotes even sound really out of place with the new portraits

I cannot care about emotes since I do not use them lol. I like the reskins so far. Also gives me a new motive to play, even though I still lack many gold portraits. Very nice update.

Rolling with casino mage atm. Feels good with ragnaros and that pewpew 3 drop.

even if you don't use them... "what to do... what to do." sounds so weird with a more mature jaina lol. Same with anduin. That's just the one I'm checking on kibler's stream

Yeah it's super disappointing. It's what I was looking forward to the most. Still gonna try to get them at some point since I'm at least half way with every class.
Probably gonna take like 2 years though.

Turns out i was 900/1000 on shaman. Quest Shaman with hares and Evolve is working out pretty well. Every time you evolve a hare into a vargoth is bueno.

Watching Kripps stream.

He had Ronin get Entombed at the end game, there were two cards left in the opponents deck after the Entomb.

Somehow, his deck tracker was able to detect that the players draw was Ronin, it showed the icon on the players hand.

How the hell does a deck tracker have access to the opponents deck draw? I have to assume it's some glitch with the tracker?

I think that was an old bug before. But just considering there were 2 cards left, the deck tracker could have been bugged and it was just coincidence that they drew ronin. Either way, I do not think I ever saw it happen personally and I have been using HDT for years.
