I see we have a gamer on this forum, nice to meet you ! I agree that there's a large room for improvement on both domain.
Similar maybe, but the quality will drop a ton from what they've shown.

Pretty sure they've said 1st party games will be cross-gen for the first couple years. There will most likely be a One port.
And just like that Xbox has finally shown something that makes me regret not being an xbox player, something that hasn't happened at all through the entire gen. That trailer was phenomenal, I love the main actress and visuals were amazing. What a first showing for next-gen!
Looks cool. Time for me to finish Hellblade: I got stuck on the fire labyrinth over a year ago and never came back to it.
Oh god...that Battlefield 2 trailer looks much more impressive than what they released. I mean it was a good looking game, but...
They will look even better. This is a game made by smaller team. Imagine what next gen AAA powerhouses will do!
But dam that game looks good. Next gen is gonna melt eyes!

Oh wow, this looks awesome and the first game was one of my favourite games of this generation. It's a shame I'll probably never play this.
You hope they find some aliasing to prove it's authenticity.
It's always possible with independent studios, but it's also possible the sequel would have happened without Microsoft's involvement.
Obviously next gen game looks better than a current gen game, animations included, and obviously bigger budget enables them to improve visuals even further. The reveal trailer makes it seem like there's a shift in tone, which isn't an improvement if that's the case, considering how the original was a deeper and well-made portrayal of mental illness.
As for how the original looked in CG reveal trailer, in comparison to what was released.

I won't be surprised if you get some scenes played in FPV in this game.
