That made me laugh pretty hard. Granted, these are voiced by real basketball players, and most of these guys are not professional or even amateur voice actors. Shaq sounds fine, because he has been in TV shows, movies, and even had a rap career. He has some experience with acting.
Still not the worst I have heard, but pretty bad regardless.

Even if these lines were well delivered does anyone enjoy the phony generic pro-athlete post-game interview dialogue in the first place?
That's one of the earlier NBA 2K games from this gen, which is probably why they moved to having most of the people speaking be real actors or voice actors in future games with real players at a minimum. They really should've done the work to find players that would be good at it, especially with how many podcasts are out there hosted by real players.

That wasn't really Shaq. The person playing the game just made that the name of their player.

It's pretty bad on multiple levels, since it's bad voice acting and makes these players seem like they can barely even form a coherent sentence.
I love that game so much, haha.
I remember one of the optional missions for one of the romances (I think she's your childhood friend whose dad works at a small grocery store).
The nearby mega-store was putting the girl's feather out of business so if you destroyed it, you'd get points with the girl.
This is up there for me.
*dancers get set on fire and transform into vampires*
"Wow this is an incredibly horror show, eh?" *voice actress bursts out laughing*

It was actually family members of the CEO of the publisher. It seems like they were just a small studio so they were looking to cut down on localization costs.

I think the writing/translation is a bigger problem than the acting in this really.
lol, the VA isn't that bad in there. It's not great, but there's far worse out there, including the classic original Resident Evil etc.
But what gets me is the sheer plagiarism of that Leon ending scene, LOL. So blatant.
Honestly, this seems bit more like intentional B-movie feel (or I'm giving it way too much credit). Some of the guys in the OP didn't seem only struggle to act, but to even read the script before them.
