At this point, as long as you don't say homophobic and transphobic slurs, you're a better supporter than 90% of rappers.

It is so much more lyrically ambitious, loaded in implications, and structurally risky than that though. Going from Strange Fruit to that is a harsh and potent juxtaposition that parallels the narrative of a hedonistic relationship becoming a tragedy. And the production is so much more textured and layered with Kanye's adaptations.Really could never hold Blood On the Leaves in that high regard because of the TNGHT track. Unlike, say, Lifted's Mercy beat, we had heard that beat long before, even if Ye took it to another level. Especially given how many other incredible songs he has in his catalogue, #2 is a head scratcher.
This leaked a couple weeks ago (14 feb), but it deserves to be reposted. Really dope track. Apparently this is all there is though, the rest of the track is just instrumental.
How isn't Last Call the #1 then SMHClearly the science says the longer the track, the more iconic it is.
The beat to Stronger is so much more generic than Harder Better Faster Stronger's too. More of a generic synthy song rather than the off-kilter grooves of the original.Actually, I might be the most upset at Real Friends going out to Stronger that early. If we start dismissing Blood On The Leaves cause of the TNGHT track, Stronger ain't shit for the same reasons.
Groovy Tony/Eddie Kane is the best gangsta rap song of the decade.
Every time I hear Q is about to drop, in my head I hear the "Q!" followed by the instrumental at the end of Brand New Guy.
Real Friends definitely should have won and also Can't Tell Me Nothing should have progressed quite a bit imo, but it lost to Jesus Walks which was a good competitor.Actually, I might be the most upset at Real Friends going out to Stronger that early. Fuck yes.
I refuse to do that because I know this thread will vote out all of the Big Fish Theory songs round 1 and give the win to some musty FM songActually, OwOtacon, Vince Staples would be an interesting pick for one of these brackets.

Big Fish Theory is way better though. One day this thread will see the light of our lord and saviour SOPHIE and all will be forgiven.

Yeah tbh Summertime 06 is his other great album, and I would support a norf norf win.
Honestly juice should just make an album full of this sound. Can't stop listening to it for some reason lol.
I admire the sound of some of juice wrld's songs but I just cannot fuck with the lyrics. They're like if Lil Yachty ghostwrote an XXXtentacion album.
Going to be honest... nah. Channel Orange was an album that really resonated with me when I was an angsty bi teen (and with hindsight I get why it stuck with me). Though he is in a super different lane. Juice Wrld is closer to Simple Plan or Blink 182 - really commercialised pop punk. It's just that hip hop is the new pop, so ergo pop punk now sounds like this.Nah he's comparable to frank ocean.
Except Juice's audience is that 16 year old emo teenager.
And Frank's is for people over 30.
His immaturity is almost... cute?

These DJVLAD interviews popped up on my recommended and dude might be the most head ass interviewer. Some of those China Mac snippets were too funny seeing him correct Vlad on shit.
my first time hearing this and yo this incredible. is the entire album like this?
