as far as effects go i think he's probably just playing into a preamp with a pretty modest amount of a chorus pedal. it might get mixed a bit after the fact but a lot of that sound is just cuz he's a super clean, technical player. on a tech nerd note i also noticed the drummer has his midi pad at the typical snare position and his physical snare to the left, which seems incredibly obvious having seen it now but weirdly uncommon in my recollection of live instrumentation in rap shows.
holy fucking shit this new Death Stranding trailer is incredible. i'm two minutes in and i can't stop laughing. dude in a skull mask in the oval office, Norman Reedus looking like a scraggly manlet with like four pubic hairs sticking outta his cheeks, a new character named President America - this shit pushed me from 'eh we'll see' to day one. there's no way i'm experiencing this thing second hand now
i am too tbh at this point. i've tempered my expectations cuz who knows what a transition that Kojima's been through could result in, but i want it to be good and even if it's not it's at least gonna be weird as shit. i'm like one of the four people on earth who actually like MGSV warts and all and thinks it's actually a good Metal Gear Solid. it's dumb and vague, but that vaguery makes way less contrived than 4 or even 2 for that matter
