...bruh.
I'm staying out of this shit, I can't handle 30-somethings in cargo shorts and Crocs saying Martin Scorsese doesn't know real cinema.
rolls out of my art hole
Actually a lot of kids kids or young people, not the 30 year old beardo's that you imagine but younger folks who the marvel cenematic universe as like a thing is more relevant to thier lives than anything those guys are talking about has ever done.
I find anyone comparing it to why people say hip hop isn't real music baffling and painfully unaware of the struggles of black and Hispanic peoples and cultures in America and across the frigging planet.
And on another level I don't know why you even care about what they are saying, those films are backed by the IP old god cluthulu monster that is Disney, the mouse controls the popular media that shit ain't going away because some film maker doesn't like it to get this upset baffles
All that said its interesting to look at , like in music, games, now film it has been interesting to see a bunch of folks my age and younger even kids just disregard old shit irrelevant to then. Because it isn't just colored by out with the old in the with new , there are very real new social dynamics that are coloring this sort of separation between those things the " This is some boomer/dusthead shit" mentality. Obviously in situations like these it shows ones ignorance and maybe an allegiance to a corporation who could give less of a fuck about you , more so your dolleridoos . But in other scenario's there are things that maybe should be disregarded, and that completely removal of various middle man's and status quo's causes older folks to complain about how millennial and Gen Z don't do XYZ or revere them or whatever. This conversation has been a fascinating weird perverse corporate turn on that sort of thing
Now that my weird art school crazzyness out of the way
Show me some new songs with nice beats
