Your appreciation of the new Tame Impala will be directly related with how much you love 80's era band jams/synths ( not the vice city type of synths) w some solid, if not forgettable vocals.
For me it's his "weakest" album , which is admittedly a weird critique sense the others are classics. It never elevated me to the same places the other two did.
Don't get me wrong though there is some great, GREAT music here. Even non S tier Tame Impala is more than enjoyable

If you have a Criterion Channel account, esteemed cinema studies professor David Bordwell has a serious of analytical videos examining theme and craft through specific films. Would highly recommend these, though they skew a tad too elementary for my tastes. I could also recommend you some film literature, like, books, depending on what you are interested in. David Bordwell also maintains a fantastic blog where he and his wife analyze all sorts of lesser known films.

Otherwise, there really isn't a better substitute then simply watching as many films as you can and taking the time to analyze them yourself. I have a longstanding theory that an over reliance on these Youtube "critics" are lowering societal ability to critically analyze. Countless times I've seen what what I feel like are self explanatory films only to have my filmic companion ask me all sorts of questions that really only take a few moments of reflection to answer. Break the mold!
I've also always liked this video, though it's a tad dry. Taught me quite a bit back in my high-school days.
EDIT: The podcast Screennotes can be great, especially when they bring on guests. A24 and the DGA put out some great podcasts as well.
DOUBLE EDIT: I've also been recently listening to / watching film commentaries as well. The classical end-all-be-all of educational commentaries is John Sturges on the Bad Day at Black Rock laserdisk. PTA once infamously remarked that he learned everything he knows through listening to this commentary. Doesn't hurt that the film happens to be a classic as well. Additionally, Criterion edition of Blood Simple has an amazing features where the Coen Bros and their cinematographer, now director Barry Sonnenfeld, sit down with touchpads and draw out, scene by scene, like NFL play-by-play commentary, how they constructed the look of the film. Def. worth a watch.

Every Frame a Painting was too good for this world, and spawned an entire industry of corrosive imitators slowly destroying the entire the meaning of cinema studies and the very concept of loving film as an art form.
Not sure if you were a member of Zhou's Patreon before quit for good, his final post went described in detail just how much work went in to each video. Tony would spend literally months of reading and research. There was a picture of all the books he read before his Looney Tunes video - literally dozens. One can understand why he burnt out, and why his videos are so much higher in quality than the ostensible "competition." I doubt other YouTube "critics" put even a week of research in their videos, beyond maybe parsing out which potential subject would be the most financially lucrative.
Anyway, I guess my recommendations to you depend on what you are looking for. Do you want to be entertained? Discover new films? Learn more about cinematic craft? Because I got options for all, baby.
Forgot about one more guy. Mathew Dessem used to run a blog where he attempted to both watch and expiate upon each film in the Criterion Collection. Though he only made it through a little more than 100 before professional obligations overtook his private enthusiasms, he wrote some of the most entertaining and educational critiques I've yet to read. As his blog went on, he became more and more detailed, so the earlier spine numbers lack some of the panache of his later entries, but reading his blog during my early High School years was one of the formative experiences of my early filmic education.
