I wouldn't go that far.
Up close you definitely see a difference, but during actual gameplay yeah, the difference might not be immediately noticeable.
I'm just kidding, because this is what people said when SFV came out as one of the arguments against the game. And it was always baffling to me. SFIV looks in no way similar to SFV, to me.I wouldn't go that far.

I remember the excitement behind all of that. It's a shame they haven't been able to quite match it since.
Jesus christ. That has to be a PS2 prototype or somethingthis reminds me about the alpha look of the game. man i wonder how the game would have been received if they had kept that look lol
Maybe in motion (NRS gonna NRS) but at least in stills and the general art direction, MK9 is better than SF 4

Even with Ken it looks miles better. It is only his character select screen that looks weird as hell.My memory tricked me into thinking this but hell no. SFV looks a million times better (if you ignore Ken)

Yep. To the credit of NRS, its games just slowly improved in presentation and style over time.
Of all the major fighting games released that gen (Tekken, VF, Soul Calibur, Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, KoF, DoA) it was probably the ugliest, right?
Holy hell. He looks like Dr. Wily if he was on the juice.I was actually gonna say the Tekken characters look great
Then I remembered SFxT Heihachi

We tried to tell y'all!!!!Holy crap, Street Fighter IV is a lot uglier than I remembered it being.
I always hated that weird skin texture they used for SFIV and SFvT

Really? It always looked bad from the start IMOI remembered thinking "wow, this looks just like anime!!!!" when it originally came out
Don't let the haters get to you, you're rightIt went downhill after indestructible wasn't the theme song anymore.
Indestructible slaps and I will tolerate no slight against it.
