Impeachment itself is 100 percent guaranteed
He'll be impeached on a party-line vote (Dems plus Justin Amash) and, as was always probable, acquitted by the Senate.
So the all or nothing no compromise of modern politics from parties refusing to concede anything will force a stalemate and nothing will happen? He'll be impeached on a party-line vote (Dems plus Justin Amash) and, as was always probable, acquitted by the Senate.
I wouldn't say that's how it ends. How it really ends won't be seen for some time. Elections next year and then seeing how executive power is reigned in or set free afterwards. So the all or nothing no compromise of modern politics from parties refusing to concede anything will force a stalemate and nothing will happen?
Welp. Cant say I'm shocked if it ends that way. Disappointed but not shocked.

It takes not a majority but a 2/3rds super majority to impeach in the Senate apparently. We could see a majority and hes still acquitted and potentially reelected. It was never going to go down any other way than this. The hope is that the impeachment and accompanying trial damages his brand enough to cost him the election next year.

We're tired of the argument that impeachment is useless because the senate will acquit. Acquittal of@realDonaldTrump in 2020 by Moscow Mitch et al. may happen, but will have the same credibility as an all white jury acquitting a Mississippi Klansman in 1965. Voters know that.
Hopefully the judiciary committee takes midnight run Nunes to fucking task, along with Sondland and Volker and Morrison - the 3 biggest liars and self-serving pieces of shit the House committees were able to interview.
If Pelosi or other moderate Dems want them to rush this thing or focus only on the 7/25 call without any context, I hope they tell these moderates and centrists to fuck off and to remember their sworn constitutional oaths. Our government is infested with traitors and grifters.
Basically this:
Nunes being in the thick of it with Rudy, Solomon, and Parnas while being the ranking head of GOP House Intelligence is probably an unprecedented conflict of interest for a congressional committee, let alone during an impeachment investigation. That he did not disclose any of this should be career-ending.

Hey, remember when Duncan Hunter was accused of stealing over $200,000 from his campaign to fund personal purchases and vacations, blamed it on his wife/campaign manager, then got re-elected in California? He just plead guilty to it all today! He's facing up to five years in prison! And he still hasn't resigned!
So what are we looking at here? Slap on the wrist reduced sentence and fine, runs again and wins re-election?Hey, remember when Duncan Hunter was accused of stealing over $200,000 from his campaign to fund personal purchases and vacations, blamed it on his wife/campaign manager, then got re-elected in California? Yeah, about that, turns out the DoJ is going very light on him with recommendations in sentencing. Barr and Trump doing work for a buddy there.Hey, remember when Duncan Hunter was accused of stealing over $200,000 from his campaign to fund personal purchases and vacations, blamed it on his wife/campaign manager, then got re-elected in California? Ridiculous that he will be impeached by the House but can still run for president in 2020.
He also said on Maddow last night that they are still investigating further connections and sending more subpoenas despite drafting articles already." Nevertheless, there remain unanswered questions, and our investigation must continue, even as we transmit our report to the Judiciary Committee. Given the proximate threat of further presidential attempts to solicit foreign interference in our next election, we cannot wait to make a referral until our efforts to obtain additional testimony and documents wind their way through the courts. The evidence of the President's misconduct is overwhelming, and so too is the evidence of his obstruction of Congress. Indeed, it would be hard to imagine a stronger or more complete case of obstruction than that demonstrated by the President since the inquiry began. "
Glad to see this in the report.
What does voting it out mean? Sending it to Senate? Then what are the judiciary hearings for. I need a breakdown of what's to come please

Thanks! So what are they voting on now as stated in the thread title?House judiciary will have hearings starting this week. Articles of impeachment will be drafted/voted on, presumably by year's end. House will vote to impeach Trump on a party line vote (simple majority is all that is needed in the house). Then it will be handed to the senate for trial, where McConnell will see to it that the entire process is as much of a sham as possible, John Roberts will preside as judge over this sham trial, and things will ultimately end with Trump's acquittal some time early next year. By then, we're rockin' and rollin' into primary season...
Nunes is a traitorous cunt who is bought by Russians. I'm pretty sure this came out about his businesses years ago.
fucker should have been recused from this shit.

Ohhh now I get it thanks. The minority report trump was celebratingThey voted on on sending the summary/recommendations to the judiciary committee. Its considered the 'official' report of the house Intel committee and other committees by rule of majority vote. A minority report was already released earlier this week I think.
These are paraphrased quotes because I was listening live, but Schiff just said on a press conference that he's "reserving comment on Ranking Member Nunes' activity" but that it's "deeply concerning that it appears members of Congress may be complicit in the President's political schemes. I won't state that as an unequivocal fact until there is more evidence, and our focus is on the President's wrongdoing but it may be another body of Congress's responsibility to look into those allegations against members of Congress."
Sounded like the intent is to take action against Nunes from another angle.
