How come every time a racist person gets beat up, people condemn the person throwing punches?

How come everybody waits for facts when poc are killed by the police?

How come the mods allow it?

Anyway, what games everybody playing? Hope youre not committing violence in them, against racists or otherwise!

Forgive me for wanting to learn all of the facts before I comment on an event.

You'll need to bring up some specific examples, because this is not the type of behavior I typically see on these forums.

You talking about a set of people that will defend a fictional racist character as not racist. So yeah, they gonna be even worse when it comes to real life examples.

There are a lot of contrarians, psuedo-intellectuals, and people who like getting a rise out of others here.

As long as they avoid too much profanity, direct insults or slurs they can post with impunity since "civil discourse triumphs."

White privilege means they get the benefit of the doubt while dead black people don't.

The mods here do a pretty good job of keeping things under control for the most part, especially if you look at other places on the internet.

Edit: Having said that, there's more than a few people pretending to be concerned centrists that have me side eyeing in most threads. Shit is easy to spot from a mile off.

1) For some reason there are people who abhor violence so much that even when it's racists getting what they deserve they think it's going too far, frankly it's baffling to me too.

2) There are a few people whose love ones are cops so they would rather hope the police isn't the problem rather than see the obvious racism inherent to the american "justice" system

3) shit, i dunno.

It's because they see their friends and family in those racists and don't perceive them as terrible people. When a lady gets bloodied and ridiculed online for something meemaw says weekly, its bothersome to these posters lol.

I think we need to enact change. I disagree that violence is the best way to do so. Racists are absolutely in the wrong. That doesn't mean beating a racist up is always justified. Punishment should be dealt according to the severity of the crime. You don't give someone the death penalty for purse snatching, and you don't beat somebody bloody for spouting hateful words. Deplatforming is good, but it doesn't require violence in many of these scenarios. There are situations that are genuinely extreme enough where violence is absolutely necessary to enact change (Apartheid South Africa, Holocaust), but I personally don't think the current situation in places like America is at that point yet. I also don't think beating up a random racist on the streets is helpful even if violence is a useful method. Because that random racist is only gaining a platform due to those violent actions since you're handing them the spotlight.
