How did you decide to have (or not have) kids?

My current mindset is that I don't want kids. I also think spending 50k on a wedding is stupid. If a potential partner finds those things a deal breaker, then oh well. Of course things are always changing so I can't speak to my future self, but I don't need children for my life to have meaning. If I'm happy that's all that will matter from now till the day I'm under a tree.
