Until the end of the console lifetime or a new cheaper revision comes out.
Both the Slim and the S are actualy the real sellers to the general population.

No, they did the right thing with the S and X. Would be a pain to support three models.

Whats the difference? 2 or 3 systems to support they would only have to scale resolution down to 720p on oldschool XBox Ones.... That way there would be a perfect performance line from 720 to 1080 to 4k. Entry Modell for 150$ Midrange for 300$ and High End for 500$

Yeah S isn't going anywhere, theres too much money to be had from casuals buyers who care more about cheaper price than 4k

Hmm... Yeah, that would be cool but I'm not sure if devs would like it?

I think Microsoft will keep this available for years to come. It will offer a low buy in for new customers who want to game but don't require the latest and greatest tech.
