It's pretty easy to accept. If there was no one at Valve who thought they could make a meaningful Episode 3/HL3, then I wouldn't want something they didn't believe in.
I think most people don't follow Valve very closely and don't know that it's a pretty open secret that Valve is currently working on Half Life VR based on code that keeps getting found in Source 2 game updates.Nobody is listening to you, lol.
I'm there with ya, bud. Clear as day that Valve are moving to VR with Half Life and other fps games, but it seems most people here don't want to believe it or something.
Half Life VR itself may not be revealed with the Index, but it should be soon. I can't wait to see the responses here.
I also realize it won't be Half Life 3 so it won't have that story closure people want...but this is a good thing. I think there would be an actual protest if that happened on VR.
No but when they end on a cliffhanger to a beloved hugely influential franchise and announce a fucking sequel, they should make it.What kind of question is that? All because they didn't finish a story doesn't mean they should make a new one.
Fixed.I think most people don't follow Valve very closely and don't know that it's a pretty open secret that Valve is currently working on Half Life VR based on code that keeps getting found in Source 2 game updates.
The internet when they finally announce Half Life VR (hopefully this Wednesday with the Index) is probably going to be a shitshow.
If you need to even ask this, WTF is wrong with you?Or do companies have the right to make whatever they want, ignoring fan requests?
I never got into half-life, but It's become such a big thing now, how could they ever live up to fan expectations? If it's anything other than a masterpiece how will the gaming community react?
It'll be No Man's Sky times 2356.
Yeah I've believed for a while that valve only wanted to make Half-Life 3 once the VR tech was there. They don't want to just make a standard game.I'm very curious what the reaction is going to be when Valve publicly announces Half-Life VR.
At least we know how it possibly ends, so I'm content on that front.I hope they cancelled it, it will never live up to the hype. Don't even bother at this point
No one can force anyone to make a game. They can, however, take them to task for the episodic structure and broken promises they made because they wanted to change course. People who follow this unfinished story have every right to be disappointed.
