Hyperdimension Neptunia series is a series of (mostly) JRPGs that take place in a world known as Gamindustri, a world ruled by four goddesses that are the personifications of game consoles. The game parodies the real life gaming industry and is full of references regarding events in gaming history as well as references to a wide range of media such as other games, anime, and even manga.

I pretty much played as noire the entire time, though I might try nepgear the next time I play through it

Man, I've been playing around with a review copy of Megadimension Neptunia VIIR and it's a real bummer to see the extents of the VR content (tiny room scenarios where the girls talk at you) and how you have to unlock them by playing through the nominally improved Megadimension Neptunia VII included in the package (which I've already played, so no thank you). Would have much preferred a lower-priced title that was just the VR scenarios, or at least supporting VR through the Megadimension Neptunia VII scenarios. That would have been dope.

I still need to play Megadimension Neptunia VII. It has been lying on my desk since August last year. The question is: am I ready for 40~ hours of hearing "Kanga-nep!"?
