It's not only about that. Goodness. 21 people arrested by ICE. Is that all that is read about?

I just read a story about a 39 year old man from Detroit being sent back to Mexico. He was brought here by his parents when he was 10 and kept getting extended stays for the last several year and has finally heen deported. What I would like to know, from age 10 to 39, why did he not try to get permanent residency or citizenship? Is it very difficult to do so in America?

Impossible without leaving as he was already in the states illegally.
Thanks you two. That really sucks. They should work our a system allowing these folks to apply, get registered and then live legally. Make it a win/win for everyone.there's no path to residency while considered an 'illegal' immigrant
you have to enter the country with the intent on becoming a citizen, therefore you have to do it legally to have that be an option for you.
For one thing, everyone pays sales tax.Wait, these are working, tax paying people? But are just 'undocumented'?
How can a tax payer be undocumented?

Yep. As well as taxes that come straight out of their paycheck. So state, federal, social security, medicare, etc.
Tax laws don't care. You can still get a tax payer Id number, and pay taxes. You are also supposed to report income from illegal activities like embezzling or drug dealing. You can even deduct the expenses of your legal fees for your criminal activities.Wait, these are working, tax paying people? But are just 'undocumented'?

The Social Security number on the W-2 form is made up, Maria tells me, because she doesn't have one. Her employer never asked for identification to verify it, she says. Instead, she has an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN), created by the IRS in 1996 so people who aren't allowed to work in the United States could still file taxes on any money they earned. (The IRS does not share ITIN information with immigration authorities.)
that's what the 2016 election was aboutThanks you two. That really sucks. They should work our a system allowing these folks to apply, get registered and then live legally. Make it a win/win for everyone.
why did they even need to raid them?
Just send 1 officer down to check them out
