Sure about that? NW numbers are pretty low since no one believes in Wights. Would be like controlling a small militia of mall cops.

Exactly, it would be super fun. My favorite type of campaign is like Barbarian Invasion's western roman campaign. Also they'd have a really fun strategic position to hold on for, having to watch out for the North and the Wights.

Why has OP missed out the other major houses?

Also we're is this rumor? Do you have a source?

The only real problem with this idea is that the major houses/regions of Westeros really don't really have much variation in troop types. Iron Islanders would be different, North would be mildly different, Martells/Dorne different, but the rest of the Southern regions would be more or less the same. You'd need like Dothraki, Unsullied, Merc (Golden Company/Storm Crows/etc) and so on to really get any variation.

GOT is more suited to CK2 dynasty management.

Not enough difference in troops in Westeros for Total war

But Dothraki cavalry! Also Wildlings would play differently from other units, too (snow advantages, move very quickly).

I would think ASoI&F would lend itself better to a Blizzard-style RTS (Wargs being able to control animals to attack units, Bran being able to warg into Hodor/Summer).

I'd rather have Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord: Game of Thrones edition personally!

But! Gotta go with the north. The north remembers.

In multiplayer matches House Climate Change. If not possible, Greyjoys.

In the single player campaign House Stark.

I'd prefer a GoT game in the mold of LOTR BFME2, hopefully get to play as Benjen Stark hero unit
