I was just at Macy's buying makeup and the stupid white bitch at the counter said, "You have such pretty exotic skin!" Even though I know any REAL offense isn't nessessarily meant to be given when stupid white bitches say this I can't help but think, "Bitch, you're low key racist as fuck."

This is something I wish white bitches would stop doing. Sorry for saying white bitches so much, I'm just flustered by this more than usual today for some reason. I gritted my teeth and said thanks and left without buying anything.

People always remark about me being a black dude with freckles, and how rare it is to see that. As if I should special about it.

It's not a compliment when a person is being treated as an "other". Tgere's many ways to compliment someone without making them out to be foreign.

From my exp, it's like when White people are surprised from meeting a light skinned Mexican and saying "Oh but you don't look Mexican!", i.e you don't fit into my very narrow understanding of other cultures.

It's not a compliment, it's just low key insulting by calling OP exotic, like they're foreign. She could've always complimented OP's skin, like on the regular there's no reason to add an exotic qualifier.

Lot of white women I know wish they had darker skin. She might have been low key racist, but she also might have been trying to be friendly and compliment etc
