Sometimes when I say want to start a new life, I mean I want to just do it all over again from the very start. Wipe the save and New Game it up.

1. Do I retain my memories of my past life?
2. Am I being reborn in 2019 or when I was originally born?

Like start over as a baby born in 2019? Fuck no. Who knows if the world even has enough a future to be worth being born right now.

Start over in the mid-80s? With no memories of the choices I made getting up to this point? I don't even know.

With my memories? Probably.

I have absolutely no interest in putting myself through my childhood family experiences again. For as much of a mess as I am now, putting distance between that and myself was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Do I have to be delivered by c-section again or can it be a natural birth?

Hell yes, I'd do anything to be a kid again and discover things for the first time again.

Probably not, especially phrased like that. Now, if I could go back and do my high school years over and properly prepare for college? Maybe.

You could have phrased that so much better...

But if I didn't take my memories with me after pushing the reset button I'd probably end up doing the same shit again, so not sure what's the point.

With my memories and able to iterate and use them? Sure!

Without them? What's even the point.

Wait, so that means I'd lose all my friends and stuff? And I think my parents are too old to deal with raising a newborn. If you mean reversing time to the moment of my birth, then presumably everything would go exactly the same.

Only if I could retain my memories and make different mistakes this time. Also, I'd still be born in 1975, right? If I was being born today then no thank you I'm good.

Reborn in the same year as I was initially? Maybe. While I would like to redo several parts of my younger life (like do better in school), I don't think it would be worth losing my current friends.

You were born.

You live a life. You have life experiences. You exist. Eventually you die.

What scientific or natural laws say you can't exist again?

The fact that you were born is proof that you can exist again.

The universe is massive.
