We definitely are. lolNot a single fucking person I've seen has tried to censor him.
Unless we're redefining censorship as criticism.

He was making a point about school shooting victims getting large amounts of media coverage compared to the many other untimely deaths that go unnoticed daily. Also, that if he were to suddenly die, the media wouldn't consider it tragic in a "died so young" way since he's now too old for that.
I'm not defending his act, but I did listen to it and seems like you hadn't & were looking for more context.
"Louie CK shouldn't be trashing trans people and HS shooting victims"
None of you should ever step foot in a comedy club. Fair warning.
Have you ever been to a comedy club? Dissecting shitty jokes and observations happens all the time.None of you should ever step foot in a comedy club. Fair warning.
You do realize most people here have probably stepped foot in a comedy club?None of you should ever step foot in a comedy club. Fair warning.
None of you should ever step foot in a comedy club. Fair warning.
It's not just a plural word, and it's been used in the singular form since the 1300's at least.
Have you ever been to a comedy club? Dissecting shitty jokes and observations happens all the time.
I've been to several comedy shows and have seen Bill Burr do an hour-long stand-up special live (which was great, BTW)None of you should ever step foot in a comedy club. Fair warning.
You listened to the 2 minute clip or the entire show? Because you just quoted something from the 2 minute clip again. Apologies if I wasn't clear that I was describing context / call-backs of those bits brought up here to the rest of his half hour set.I listened to it.
His relation gets lost between targeting specific children of a school shooting standing before congress and making them the focal point of his diatribe.
I don't know, they testify in front of Congress, these kids. I mean, what the fuck? What are you doing? You're young, you should be crazy, you should be unhinged. They're in suits saying "I'm here to tell you..." Fuck you, you're not interesting because you went to a high school where kids got shot.
He framed victims of a school shooting standing before congress as an annoying publicity stunt, named the specific number of dead and then in the laziest of ways try to tie in unfair media coverage.
He ain't slick.
David Axelrod is here to deliver the Boogie centrist take that matters
Lmao that lady was wild.
And that makes it... Ok?Probably more than you have. 99.9% of people don't think twice about anything that's said in there.
Good for you dude. The rest of us comedy plebs (including other noted comedians who've also already expressed disgust) are just too fucking simple, to understand the sanctity of being able to make an awful joke with no punch line about yelling at school shooting survivors to shut the fuck up.Probably more than you have. 99.9% of people don't think twice about anything that's said in there.

Because 99.9% of people walk into the club knowing that nothing that's said in there is to be taken seriously.
Yeah, see, that's not true. Just because you engage passively doesn't mean everyone else does. Talking shit about bits and deconstructing jokes was something a group of my buddies used to do after shows.
Hmm turns out you actually have an usually high tolerance for other hateful shit tooBecause 99.9% of people walk into the club knowing that nothing that's said in there is to be taken seriously.
Yeah, friends going out to have fun at comedy clubs and talk about 'em later is definitely something only .1% of audiences do afterwards. dang elitists
First off I'm gonna need receipts on 99.9 percent of people who attend a comedy show don't ever think about anything that's being said.. You know, since you're a comedy club expert and all, surely you have them?Because 99.9% of people walk into the club knowing that nothing that's said in there is to be taken seriously.
Surprisingly, no, from a historical political theory perspective. Same with anarcho-communism which derived from similar ideological roots.
The ship has already sailed on this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singular_theyThis is something from 1300s. If you look at how english was spoken ages ago its not even the same language. 1500s etc was unrecognizable to us. I feel its perfectly natural to pick a new word which is not plural. Picking a plural sounding word which implies the spectrum of both/none/ one or the other is perfectly fine as it would be something people on the spectrum would want. If you want change now pick a word which works now etc. And Im saying Im all for it . I feel it should be adopted pick any word which doesnt already have context etc. Its nothing disrecpecful.
First off I'm gonna need receipts on 99.9 percent of people who attend a comedy show don't ever think about anything that's being said.. You know, since you're a comedy club expert and all, surely you have them?
Second, you're extrapolating your dismissive opinion to represent all attendees which is absurd.
Third, it's really fucking clear that Louie CK is venting and that there's real emotion behind this set in which is being dressed up as jokes. Dude has bitterness and resentment all over his delivery.
It's almost like there are sometimes real life emotions behind some comedy bits.
But.. You already knew all of this
I stand by what I said. Just because you don't like Louie doesn't make what I said untrue. In my experience, most, if not all people, walk out unoffended.
If you can stop blowing hot air up your own ass for a secondI stand by what I said. Just because you don't like Louie doesn't make what I said untrue. In my experience, most, if not all people, walk out unoffended.
What, you got like a box of ears or something? You carry that around? Psycho.
Probably means he listens to some racist and/or misogynistic and/or transphobic and/or homophobic and/or otherwise bigoted ass comedians and thinks that's what all comedians do. "it's a work in progress" is generally a reeeally shitty defense of blatant bigotry. How about not being a bigot in the first place? You do realize most people here have probably stepped foot in a comedy club?
And what does this even mean
I stand by what I said. Just because you don't like Louie doesn't make what I said untrue. In my experience, most, if not all people, walk out unoffended.
If you can stop blowing hot air up your own ass for a second
Explain your previous defense of Roseanne when she turned out to be a raging bigot, because it seems connected to you defending vile shit in general. You also framed it as "She's a comedian! So what!".
Probably more fun than your bunch who give hateful bigotry a pass just because a comedian said it.
It's interesting how you're making sweeping generalizations of entire audiences without knowing anything about their feelings about a particular show.I stand by what I said. Just because you don't like Louie doesn't make what I said untrue. In my experience, most, if not all people, walk out unoffended.
You only have 90 it was pretty easy. You don't think you're completely transparent?
It's interesting how you have the ability to read their conclusions of a set by looking at their faces.
Are we really gonna play this in a topic where you're basically criticizing people for not enjoying the "comedy stylings" of a known sexual offender?
So? People are shitty and do not care about hateful bigotry being spouted in public. That doesn't make it ok. Try setting yourself in a transgender person's shoes and how they feel when a successful, widely known comedian compares being transgender & asking for some level of thoughtfulness when addressing them to identifying as a location/helicopter.I stand by what I said. Just because you don't like Louie doesn't make what I said untrue. In my experience, most, if not all people, walk out unoffended.
To add on, there are literal responses from Parkland victims and families making it clear Louie's shit isn't funny or OK. Guess they never have and never should step foot in a comedy club. So?
