The query pertains to relationships with other people spanning the professional and personal?

I have, in my time from living with parents to living with roommates to living alone to working to doing projects to reading the news and to perusing old GAF/Era have found an indomitable truth. It applies to every case of human relationship dynamics.

For me:

In my time I have learned that power is almost always given at first and not taken. The more one gives, the more the other party takes and a new normal in the relationship dynamic is formed. The reason for relinquishment varies but the end result is the same.

Question are:

1. From personal experiences and observations what is your take on the Nature of Power?

2. When you learned your interpretation of the Nature of Power, did it affect your psyche and/or did you alter your behaviour with how you communicate with others?

I am curious to know given the varied demographics who peruse and contribute to this board.

Thank you.

I mean i like having power and hate not having power. Giving power to those I care about is scary?
Having absolute power is absolute fun?

Makes it sound like you're navel gazing
If it's a pretty navel and all...

Perhaps it is a bit of that but I am genuinely curious whether more people think about it given it affects how everyone interacts with each other.

Are you asking maybe like how we define power? I really still don’t get what you are asking us to write. Can you give your own answer as an example?
Okay, I am going to put it in OP as well.

I don't think most relationships are about power, they're about support and trust.

I have never once sat and down and thought about who holds the "power" in any of my personal relationships.
