Essentures is a game based in many titles of gameboy. Mixing Action RPG with turn based RPG and monster collecting.
You'll play the story of a young son of farmers that has just discovered having the power to open the Emperor Celestial Door, an old tale of a warrior said to have unified all the world and reached his end by opening a door in the sky that could leads to Heaven. You will face a journey across 5 Kingdoms discovering the mysteries of the Seven Ancient Wonders, while you discover your own story and bringing back a past never knew by humanity! A journey that will lead you to face many opponents, wars and even gods! However on your way you'll find many true, loyal, and powerful allies!
Even with threads like this, the problem is wading through / curation. Resetera should have a live top 100 indie games list (i.e. games you can buy right now - doesn't matter when they were released) as it's so easy to miss good indie games compared to AA and AAA releases.

This kind of Thread would be helpful, that for sure.
However This Thread is mostly active by me for upcoming indie videogames. Recently I decided to post released games as well [if I didn't post them in the past], but again the user him/herself must show interest for these kind of games.
Maybe a solution is to create my personal Top 100 Indie games I played? I would prefered for a Top 100 Upcoming Indie Videogames although.
It depends on what people are interested in. I never play Early Access games, and have little interest in upcoming games. When games are released - and good - that's when I'm interested. But it's so easy for good indies to slip through the net because of awareness, that's why some sort of rolling / updated top 100 (finished / released / available to buy) Indie games would be good.
Ideally like how Resetera does the best games poll every year, except they'd do best Indies and it can include previous years as well as new ones.
There's a reason we only do GOTY once a year, those polls take a lot of time and effort.
If anything we might want to have the OP updated with a 'best of' section that could get updated over time that both Sweetsark and the forum at large can suggest. Adapt Toma's top picks from each month into that I guess, since this basically takes both threads and melds them. Saves sark time and gives people a list so they don't have to get a backhoe to dig through nearly 30 pages of indie stuff

If you want to organise the games you want to play in the future, do what I do:
Create folders into your PC and save Pictures of the games you want with their names and maybe the Developer/Publisher.

But this is the tricky part: You will check for them only if you care about them.
Right now I count nearly 20.000 games I put in my files. Many of them are games I MUST play, even more that come second.
If I don't remember some games I wanted to play...better that way. Maybe after you search again your files and see these game got release after all, then you can play them.
With this you create a mindset that even if you forgot about a specific game you wanted to play you at least have it sonewhere for you to find it later.

The thing is, he was very active in the indie dev thread and seemed like a really nice guy. This is pretty shitty news to me altogether.
I, uh... didn't actually realize you were assuming that until now. :/ I guess it's not an entirely wild assumption if you don't know me, so no hard feelings.
I'd be game as well. I kind of dropped out of the Toma indie threads due to not playing as many games and not following the scene so closely.
But doing regular updates could work.
I must say, this thread didn't seem very suited for regular discussion like the old Indie threads

I see no problem with keeping it an informative list thread. There's something nice about just seeing games with a description and cutting down on the noise. This thread has been an absolute boon to me before I had an account and I'd hope it could stay that way. I do still follow Sweetsark on twitter so I'm still seeing potential future buys, but I like this format more honestly.

Miegakure is due out soon I think.
4D puzzle game, confirmed for PC/PS4 so far I think. It's about shifting between four spacial dimensions. I played an early demo, and it was a lot of fun.
