Indeed, the Bar segment must had inspiration from VA-11 HALL-A game.
However two other different part of this game was at first smaller games on Dev's itch.io page and combine them in a bigger game.

Human life is being threatened in Planet Zoi. Aliens, named the Thanatos, came to the Iliakos System. The Iliakos System is a small planetary system where Zoi belongs to. The Thanatos feeds on life in order to sustain itself. Nobody knows how much the Thanatos have devoured in its current state, but the people of Zoi will not let the invaders destroy the beautiful life which has flourished for several eons.
The brilliant scientists of Zoi have all gathered around to create a weapon to combat the incoming threat. Unfortunately, the Thanatos are hungry. The aliens arrived in Zoi without the weapon being finished yet. The Global Defense Forces gathered every life in Zoi for evacuation towards Zoi's moon called Spiti. In Spiti is a massive evacuation facility. The Global Defense Forces anticipated this ill-fated incident. All soldiers who stayed in Zoi died, trying their hardest in their current technology to push back the invaders. The Thanatos, in the end, were successful is taking Zoi as their food. The research of the said weapon continued in Spiti. Unfortunately, Zoi is slowly being devoured by the Thanatos while the weapon is being developed.
Months has passed since the success of the invaders taking Zoi. The weapon is finally finished. Their only hope now rests in this effort called... "Project Transcendence".

Project Downfall (PDF for short) is a trippy, reflex based shooter with adventure elements. The game is an overall mashup of the the movie "Falling Down" with M.Douglas and the style of "Hardcore Henry" and "John Wick" in a retro (DOOM,Duke3d,Hexen etc) stylised visuals with modern post effects and Dynamic Original SoundTrack.
You start in your apartment after another routine day at the office and your adventure starts from there. The storyline will progress in a non linear way with completion of main missions and subquests/missions.
Main missions will be accessed from your car outside the apartment. This street level is also a hub which will open up to other parts of the city with optional missions with progression of the game.
Story revolves about the downfall of the players character, who finally lost it after the constant corpo-selfmedication- routine, which will lead to one of the few endings.
