That's a bit much dude.
An yet i am legitimately afraid it might go worse. For all that I dont believe this is not a really dumb attempt at attention i do not wish one of those "accidents" mentioned before to happen, yet he is sirously risking it and if the family is no doing enought maybe they arein the know that this is a very stupid stunt.

Watching that Youtube video, in which an unstable and possibly suicidal internet celebrity livestreams his downward spiral to the police waiting outside of his door, is some Black Mirror-style surreal shit.

Who was the last person to be permanently cancelled anyway? I always see the specter of permanent cancellation tossed around like some populist bogeyman but rarely if ever see it have any effect.

For a person who has built their entire personality on hyperbolic reactions, I have a hard time believing that was at all genuine.
It seemed genuine to me because he wasn't really playing it up. He actually seemed upset. He can have some crazy reactions, but he's also come "out of character" quite a few times to have a real talk. One time he was talking about how the death of his older brother affected him.

Also, there was another livestream before all this stuff happened where him and a few other YouTubers were swatted. If you go and watch it you can tell he's being very serious about the situation. It's the exact opposite of the way he was acting here. This seems like suicidal behavior. Etika isn't the type of person to risk his life or dox himself.

For a person we should feel sorry and empathetic and pray for about because he is unraveled and all that bs...he has better grammar than me and takes his time to make these pictures and tweets.... Oh poor Etika, hope next officer has a tazer, some real pain might bring some sense on him.

Dont worry, I do feel bad for him.

But considering his 4chan past and the fact that he has many fans from there, I am not even remotely surprised that he's now using the memes of the racist side of that Web page.

I still hope someone cuts his internet access, a week or two of just coming to his senses may do wonders to him.

So we're just wishing folks bodily harm on here now?

What did they do to you again?

Yeah ok red flag everyone, why the fuck aren't his parents or other relatives trying to get him help? am I missing something?

Some people don't have those types of support systems. I've gone through some mental breakdowns (never did anything like this tbh) and I've only ever had one relative, my aunt, reach out to me. Even when friends have contacted my parents about shit I'm going through, they have the attitude of "he'll get over it eventually" and never bring it up so there's just a loop of self-destruction and suicidal outbursts

I'm not defending this dude, I know nothing about YouTube streamers, but some people have no support system or are surrounded by people who don't have the ability to handle those situations.

One of my closest friend has been diagnosed as « schizophrenic » some years ago, we saw him acting weirder and weirder as time passed, at first we didn't know what to think about it, we thought he was looking for attention, we thought he was joking etc.. we tried to help him get better as much as we could but nothing worked. After maybe 18 months he was on a point of no return.
i'm french and here , at that time, to get someone treated with that kind of mental issues there was some specific conditions :
- if he's a threat to himself or
- if he's a threat to others
it's only after he made some terrible things and multiple cop interventions that he finally got some medical help.

Don't know about Etika's health condition but i'm sure his parents and relatives are trying to help him but it's not as easy as you may think and most of the time people don't even realize it's a serious illness until it's too late.

He has never behaved like this before. Etika has always been a bit eccentric, but he has never pushed things this far. I remember he even watched a video about someone who was murdered after being swatted and he legit started crying because he was so sad.

That Etika is gone. I remember old school Etika. He's not here anymore. He got replaced by a guy with mental illness and a desire for attention.

I've been following this whole saga since his first mental breakdown, and I gotta say, I'm pretty lost with the entire thing. On one hand, I do understand the perspective of us fans who are trying to logically think about this, but a lot of it doesn't add up or is just simply weird. This whole saga started with a breakdown earlier in the year and now here we are with him having another one.

  1. His ex-girlfriend Christine (AlicePika) provided a lot of information that was valuable to his fans regarding what was going on and she ended up getting blocked & deaded by Etika for doing so.
  2. Christine said he was acting weird and yelling at her about her "needing to be God" to save him (when he got checked into the Mental Ward last time).
  3. She also said he wanted her to eat mixed greens from Whole Foods (which is true because he was doing so on one of his streams recently and another friend came up on his subreddit saying that he wanted him to eat 8 fistful of Salads). On top of this, other friends who disagreed with him got kicked out his apartment for disagreeing.
  4. He was in the ward his for mental break down, got out earlier than expected.
  5. He then went into the ward, again, and was supposed to be out in 30 days. He got out much earlier than expected.
  6. On top of that, he's been to the hospital for a mental check. Passed (with a diagnosis of Agitation).
  7. So he's been essentially checked up on regarding his mental health, three times. Yet, here we are with this nonsense still going on of him actually showing signs of what seem like mental illness. I'm not making fun of it, but I'm just concerned about how if he has an actual mental illness, how is it that three doctors missed this?
  8. He's also gone on this mega rant on Drama Alert with KeemStar about Bananas containing a certain amount of potassium (he said 300, which is wrong I think was like 422 milligrams of Potassium).
  9. Then to add to all of this, he's been tweeting absurd things (ranging from killing himself to random shit like "nothing is a coincidence" and shunning his fans by blocking them on social media because in his eyes, they're being beneath him or ignorant.
I've watched his content for about two years now, and just watching this whole thing honestly sucks, man. And his fans aren't helping at all by responding to his tweets with stuff like anime porn, or calling the NYPD, or reuploading his streams etc/calling him a clown. It isn't helping by them also going to all his friends who are just as worried and want just as many answers as the fans do, etc.

I wish nothing but the best for the dude, but man, this saga needs to end soon. Not only for him, but for his friends and his family who are watching this whole thing go down. Screw all his subs and stuff, cause no matter what people are always gonna donate to him like they always have dropping $50, $100 on his spontaneous one or two streams a month for their 30 seconds of fame. This needs to be over for everyone who's worried about him and for him, too.

Do you think he is under some kind of hard drug influence by any chance ?

He's livestreaming right now.

He's rambling about the end of the world, anime being real, how we're all God's.

And now he's asking Cuthulu to respond(????)

What strikes me about his episodes of tweet storming is how coherent and deliberate they are.

Yes, I know they are nonsensical and cryptic and ridiculous, but it always feels very deliberately nonsensical and cryptic and ridiculous - rather than the sort of stuff you post if you're truly not in full control of your actions.

I'm sure he still has deep underlying issues to address, but I can also imagine he has the cognitive ability to control his actions in front of a health care professional where they may struggle to say he must be treated against his will.

Video from Omni about this that works as a nice summary. He also gives his thoughts since he knows him personally

Can you please edit out the video? This is exactly part of the problem.

All of these people who know him personally who, instead of shutting the fuck up and either cutting ties or helping him in private, pull ALL of the stuff to the surface, making it ALL public, in fact helping him with gaining even more publicity than he could on his own. His ex-girlfriend talking about his issues and explain, in detail, what he's doing or not doing without asking him, this dude who "knows him personally" who decides that the internet has to know everything about this - and he even manages to make quite a bit of money off of it. Great!

All of these "friends" of his are helping him. They are helping him in keeping this as much in the spotlight as possible, turning it all into a big "DRAMA!!" spectacle for the masses instead of treating it like it is, a serious mental health issue of a person completely going off the deep end. Get this shit out of the public eye ffs. If he doesn't want to help, producing drama-alert-style content off of it, leveraging your position as a person "in the know" isn't the alternative.

Dude always struck me as a dumbass everytime I clicked on one of his YouTube videos, he was always yelling and overreacting to a point i had to close the tab because it was so painful to watch.

Not the first time he pulls off a stunt like this. He either has serious mental issues -which I honestly doubt- or he doesn't know what to do to stay relevant and throws everything to the wall thinking that hopefully something will stick.

Well, I'm out of this thread. I'm not interested in watching someone going off the deep end (real, exagerated, or faked).
If he genuinely has mental health problems, I sincerely hope that he will get the help he needs (considering his past stunts, I am unconvinced).
If he is just an attention-seeker imbecile trying to make more money out of his act, well, I think it would be better for him to leave the internet and try to reconsider his life choices. Needless to say, considering his past remarks, he doesn't have my sympathy whatsoever.
Mind you, both possibilities aren't mutually exclusive and could both be valid.
In any case, I'm not staying to watch this shit show.

Yeah those are friends of today generation sadly.

So 'friends' always spread everything about you in public in attempt to be "helpful".

Yeah I don't buy those friends in helping him. Even if he blocks you you don't have the right to spread everything about him in public.

Alas I have very personal experience of how someone can appear totally "fine" in front of professionals while being completely not.

Appearances can be very deceiving.

Again, this could be the deliberate acts of someone who doesn't realise why this is bad because of a mental health crisis.

Not all crises scream "crazy person over here" like a complete loss of control.

This god complex schtick is reminiscent of how Fousey went down and it will be no surprise when internet fame and fortune takes its next victim. Regardless of how big a part mental health plays, it was always going to happen. Some do well to stay relatively sane when 'stans' basically worship them for acting stupid and irresponsibly.

Yeah, I wasn't questioning the legitimacy of this crisis because of his behaviour. It just struck me that even though his behaviour appears to be off the rails on face value, his actions also appear to be very much deliberate at the same time.

Funny you say that since now his reddit is gathering evidence that he may be in a cult

https://www.reddit.com/r/EtikaRedditNetwork/comments/bjbxn6/so_etika_may_be_in_a_cult/

Shits wild
Holy shit.

He was even mentioning it in 2015. He explicitly says that his entire goal is to gather a following so he can spread this cult's ideology:

…all the way back in 2015.
EDIT:
It seems like this cult is also anti semetic as fuck, so that really adds context. Fuck Etika.
