Err yeah, think it'll be easy to hold strong for next year's version. This really feels like an 'S' iteration. Night mode is nice, but I can live without. Although it's irritating that they can't include that as a standard feature like Google was able to on Pixels.

Looks like my X will last another year.

I have that as well and I’m sure you can sell it for $100-$150 more privately.
I'm going to see if the price they showed for an X trade in was probably account for the base model and mine would give me a better deal. Usually they take storage into account for this type of thing.

So really a downgrade in size for X or XS owners if they went for the logical iphone 11 pro upgrade. I really don't want to go for the (imo) stupidly huge max size, but at least I won't be upgrading for 1or 2 years more.

And there are always some people that'll say 64gb is enough for a phone or iPad or mbp (in this case, 128?)

Shit is embarrassing

Copypasting from other thread.

To sum up
- 699$ is a good price but LCD display in *almost* 2020 is embarassing
- 1000$ for such minor upgrades is too much

Jesus christ, I know the Canadian dollar is not strong but it's not as bad as they've converted it.

Pro Max starts at $1520, and at an insulting 64GB. It's two hundred and ten fucking dollars more to bump it to 256GB.

So is Apple doing away with the yearly upgrade program if you’ve covered half the loan price? I just checked on the Apple Store app and it says if I trade in my current phone (half paid for) that I’m responsible for the rest of the loan payment along with the new one. That’s shitty

Unless I missed it, none of these phones are 5G capable, so I'm going to be stuck holding out again for a new phone. I usually keep my phones for 3-4 years before upgrading, so getting one of these that doesn't have 5G doesn't really make much sense to me, as I'd be stuck on 4G for years to come (that's assuming, of course, that 5G even rolls out in the next few years).

I was all in on iPhone 11, and then they recorded footage from each camera at the same time on the Pro. So now I'm getting a Pro!

Every tech site out there worth a damn should write an article shaming Apple for selling 64GB phones

Reasonably compelling upgrade from my iPhone X, mostly thanks to the battery life improvements. I may try to stick it out another year but the trade-in pricing ain’t bad.

Very underwhelming 😫

The new base model at that price actually seems really good, but the pro model is just meh.

I really wanted to upgrade this year as my AppleCare runs out on my X but I just don’t see the point.
