No. Already played it, and that's the type of game I want to play with the graphics looking as pretty as possible.

I still hope it sells a bajillion copies, though.

Fuck yes. First physical game I bought since 2017. And first non-indie game which I bought since Tropical Freeze.
I could never finish it on PC because no way I'm sitting in front of a screen for that many hours, but with the Switch, it's a different story. They can bring ALL these games (Sekiro and so on), and I'd buy them ALL.

I'm going to buy the game on launch or the day after. I have The Witcher 3 on my PC, but I didn't really have the time to play it. I can play it on the move on the Switch and it seems to be a very successful port.

At this point, just purchasing it mostly in the hopes it will outshine Overwatch's release in a big way. Between the recent drama and the "empty physical" treatment Blizzard is giving Overwatch on Switch, they've made the October 15th decision pretty easy for me.

I'm going to buy it just to say "fuck the Switch version haters".

I may already have the "superior version" on PC, but I'll still end up playing the Switch version for the most part, considering my PC is being used for more professional tasks these days instead of being a gaming platform.

And I'll be playing it on my 4kTV to boot.

So tempted as it is now my favourite game of all time. However I have finished it in its entirety 3 times and have over 300 hours in it. Its so good though I'll definitely play it again someday. But it won't be for a while as I only played it again earlier this year.

I kinda want to which is wild because I own it on PC (and have done since launch). But it's just so fantastic that a game like The Witcher 3 is coming to Switch that I, for whatever reason, really want to get it. I'm honestly pretty tempted.

I was really excited for the game but the release date means i will get it later just like i did with Dark Souls last year.Hopefully at a better price too

Yes. Absolutely. I have it installed on my PC modded and looking nice in 21:9, but I really want this version to play through it a 3rd time. Gonna start on blood march too. Only thing I'm really going to miss are some of the QOL improvement mods like auto apply oils from the PC version.

Not really interested in paying $50 for a worse version of a 4 year old game I already own/played.

people who have never played it shouldcheck it out though, assuming the port is fine and not completely broken or anything.

I want to get it to support the devs, but I went with DQ11 for my next long game.

I'm going to get it at some point though since I haven't played the expansions.

I will probably get it close to Christmas. I'm trying to get into the mentality of not buying games I've already played.
I'm more interested in getting to witness the achievement of porting it, knowing I'll probably never play it, similar to what I did with Skyrim.

Not I since I:

1. Own it already
2. Don't really like it that much

this is where I'm torn. I love the idea of having a nice open world like this on switch but I finished witcher and I couldn't even get myself to play the dlcs which I did buy. But it may be long enough that I'm not so burned out on it (basically I enjoyed it but not as much as I hoped and I really burned myself out on it finishing it as I burned out before the game was done but forced myself to finish it). And I know there is new content to me cause I never got around to playing the dlcs.

Put it this way. When they announced it I thought it was great it was coming but didn't see myself playing it even if I bought it but now that it's close I'm getting more tempted.

I am picking it up since I occasionally end up on long flights (trans-pacific) for work and having long deep games on switch are great. Skyrim on switch more than paid for itself on a couple of flights between the US and China.

No, played on my PC already
For me switch is strictly for playing VNs and party games

Nah, too much else to play. Only bit of it I didn't beat was Blood and Wine, but maybe I'll grab it later.

No, I've got the PC version I'm still wrapping up and no way I'm starting over. Would be cool if they could sync Steam cloud saves like DOS2.

The DLCs are good.
One with great story and the other with a better openworld than the main game.

Yes.

It is going to be my winter "play a game on the couch while watching hockey all night" game.

I've never played it before.

I'm gonna pick it up at some point soon, I have plenty to play right now so I'm not in any rush.

Though $50 on Amazon is tempting...

I won't be. Already have it on PS4/PC and my Switch is only played docked so the portability does nothing for me.

Buying it to play later down the road still too many hours of DQ XI to play before I put it down. Just really wanna show support to the team for making this happen, and really want to see what the game looks like on handheld. I only heat the main story on PS4 and never played the DLCs

No. Played Witcher 3 already and switch is the last platform I would double dip or buy a multi platform game for. I prefer better picture quality and playing on the big screen.

I'm torn. I am definitely getting it, but the question is do i get it now or do i get it around the holidays. Finishing up Deadly Premonition now and I need a new game but I also still want Links Awakening, Doom3, Overwatch, a bunch of other indie games, pokemon in a month...and I do like to save a big game I'm excited for to get around Christmas every year.

I've wanted to take a good crack at this for a while and the Switch is the perfect way for me to actually beat 100 hour long games. So it will come down to if I can resist impulse ordering it on hype.

Yes! But probably not at launch. Currently I'm blitzing through Links Awakening which I'll then trade in on Switcher.

Honestly, I love Witcher 3 and I'd probably get this just for the novelty of it, I mean it feels like the impossible port. I'd get it on Switch Lite and the stuff I've seen of the handheld gameplay looks really good, like really good. Like full fat Witcher 3 experience - with a few concessions to the hardware, bit generally more or less feature complete that I can play in bed and on the bog.

Will be interested in the DF impressions, they were pretty positive after the event in August, as was all the other outlets I've read/watched footage for.

Probably not at launch unless someone gifts me a voucher for my birthday this week. I'm really interested in picking up Baldurs gate 1 and 2 for Switch though so might get that on launch since it's a bit cheaper.

No because I put over 300 hours into the PS4 version and discovered every location on the map pre-DLC. Great game though, if you haven't tried it and own a Switch buy it after a price drop - $30-$40 seems right.

i was thinbking about it for novelty reasons but ultimately its a 150 hour game and if i was to replay it for the 3rd time id prefer to do it on pc at max settings.

Going to buy it due to the sheer technical impressiveness. Skyrim found a second life on my Switch I never thought it could, so I have high hopes for W3 as well, though I played it to completion already on PS4.

I feel like the game is so well known at this point that anyone who was interested in it has probably already played it on console or PC. And considering on any of those the experience is far better from a technical standpoint than the Switch, the only people I can see purchasing this on Switch are die hard fans who want a version to be able to take on the go.

A similar analysis works for Skyrim, but it sold well on Switch regardless.

I debated it, but I went back to it last week X1X instead. I have all the expansions and never played them, so I started a fresh playthrough on that instead.

No, I already played the PC version of the game (great game). I don't have time and I don't like how it looks on Switch. I'd rather spend time on some of the exclusive games on the Switch.

I was able to use the last of my Best Buy Gamers Club + 20% off offer to bring down my preorder to around $40.

I have this game on PC, but I prefer playing it on Switch.

I only play my Switch on my TV so it doesn't make sense. It's gonna look awful on a screen larger screen. Handheld I imagine it's much better.

Do you own the other big open world games on Switch? Skyrim, Breath of the Wild, Dark Souls, so on.

Got it preordered as soon as it dropped on eShop. I just realized its 28GB on US eShop but only 23GB on AU eShop can anyone explain why? What might be the difference?
