with the exception of 1st party the two will probably never be the 1:1Until they fix Gamepass on PC, and make PC/XBOX library for gamepass 1:1 I won't come back until that happens. Going steam for Microsoft games until then.

I'm not interested in the subscription service model.
I do want to own my games. I only have time for a handful of new games a year anyway. So carefully selecting 5-6 games a year to buy is more up my alley.

I compare the best price here: https://www.xbox-now.com/pt/game-comparison
And buy the gift codes and live gold, from here:
Buying regulary from there and not a single problema in the last 2 or 3 years
But, i must advise, i am not responsable for any problems that can occur. There are many options on cheap gift codes from many key sites. I buy from here, but people are free to make their choices.
Do we know if they will switch the PC Game Pass games to "normal" windows programs? I don't know how to put it, but currently they are UWP games, right?I do agree that Game Pass is slowly developing itself to the No. 1 system seller for Xbox.
The huge organization that is Xbox Game Studios with all the studios they added in the last 18 months complements that.
No. Win32 is supported.Do we know if they will switch the PC Game Pass games to "normal" windows programs? I don't know how to put it, but currently they are UWP games, right?
We want creators to be inspired to bring their best content to Windows 10, and we want Windows 10 to be the place where gamers come to discover their next favorite PC game. We recognize that Win32 is the app format that game developers love to use and gamers love to play, so we are excited to share that we will be enabling full support for native Win32 games to the Microsoft Store on Windows. This will unlock more options for developers and gamers alike, allowing for the customization and control they've come to expect from the open Windows gaming ecosystem.
Even if Gamepass has say, 10 million subs (very unlikely it's anywhere near that obviously), that comes nowhere near the number of people that buy those same few games every single year over and over and over.Subscribers to Gamepass says otherwise.
It's amazing what people will experience different outside of their comfort food when you don't have to pay $60 per game
PC and console game pass will likely continue to have different libraries for the foreseeable future.
Oh damn, I missed that, thanks.
No, they haven't changed that. They just implemented a way to package Win32 programs as UWP apps. You still have the limitations where you can't access the folders of the games (no modding allowed) and you must launch through Start Menu or Xbox app. Try to go into WindowsApps where all of them get installed.No. Win32 is supported.
They changed that in June 2019 with the introduction of PC Game Pass.
Our Approach to PC Gaming - Xbox Wire
We believe the player should be at the center of their gaming experience and be able to harness the unique benefits of the devices they choose to play on. Nowhere is that belief more important than on the PC. As the creators of Windows, we have a unique responsibility to ensure we’re investing...news.xbox.com
Pretty much all the additions these days are Win32.
You don't have interest in any of the 250+ games available on game pass? Damn you must have some really specific tastes 😂I only play 1-2 games per year and have no interest in any of the titles avaliable on gamepass at the moment so no
I guess its great value if you are constantly playing , have a wide range of taste and dont mind playing mostly "just OK" titles
The post you quoted is wrong. They may technically be Win32 but they have all the UWP limitations in place. You are not allowed to mod Game Pass games and they have the usual UWP issues when it comes to interacting with third party programs.
I'm in a similar position time wise, but of the games I choose each year at least two or three are likely to be MS 1st party games so it's a no brainier to keep GamePass for me. Not to mention, my kids often find a game or two they want to play as we go so it has been a great model for us.I'm not interested in the subscription service model.

You wanted them to be "normal Windows programs". They are not.
I literally just quoted the official announcement. How can quoting something be "wrong"?The post you quoted is wrong. They may technically be Win32 but they have all the UWP limitations in place. No, you can't.

Having both PC and Xbox, game pass becomes even more awesome.
Not all of the day 1 releases have been on both and won't always be. For example, Gears Tactics is coming soon and won't be on both the same day (in this case PC is the one getting it, but other games may hit console first). There have been some day 1 third party indie titles that are only on one.The day 1 releases are on both, I think most people pay for those
Ok so I just took a look at the catalog, I think I'd have fun with minit, dmc5, hellblade, hollow knight, edith finch...maybe even going back to fallout3You don't have interest in any of the 250+ games available on game pass? Damn you must have some really specific tastes 😂
Also your last sentence is so wrong man, game pass is full of incredible amazing games, not "just ok".
